Netways successfully concluded its participation in the Gitex Technology Week, the world’s premier technology event in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region, which took place from 14th to 18th of October 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, UAE.The event attracted more than 138000 ICT Professionals from 144 countries and demonstrated an increase in the volume and quality of buyers and C-level executives who visited Gitex this year. During the five days event, Netways has succeeded to increase its brand awareness and establish a deep knowledge of its offerings among local and regional professionals.

The event gathered many technology professionals and key players in the IT industry who discovered and experienced the latest technologies from Microsoft and its strategic Partners. In support of Etisalat Group’s business productivity enhancement plans, an initiative has been put together in order to build an automated e-Memo solution where users would be able to submit memorandums for approval and review it in an electronic format. This initiative will minimize costs and improve operational efficiency. Users will be able to connect and contribute within a secure and intuitive technology platform while following industry best practices for such platforms. From a technology perspective, the solution was an extension to the Intranet portal built by Netways on top of Microsoft SharePoint.Forms within the e-Memo solution were builtusing InfoPath, another technology provided by Microsoft that seamlessly integrates with SharePoint. The main target of the e-memo project was to showcase how existing and familiar technologies can improve productivity.

ADNOC Distribution has chosen Netways to implement an Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution. Netways Portfolio and Project Management Unit is pioneer in providing Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solutions, with an integrated framework of capabilities from consultancy practices to implementation know-how and professional expertise. Netways has completed many successful implementations of Microsoft EPM in its regional portfolio ranging from basic implementations to advanced custom solutions. Netways has successfully implemented “Zajel” the Kingdom’s e-messaging national project that recently won the United Nations Public Service Award (UNPSA) for the Integrated Workflow Management System (IWMS).Zajel is one of the eGovernment Authorityinitiatives to help establish electronic correspondence, enhance G2G communications and improve the exchange of information and services across various ministries and governmental entities. Zajel will be used to automate and archive correspondences between the ministries and several governmental bodies. The government of Bahrain was honored by the United Nations for its Workflow Management System, fully designed, developed and implemented by Netways. As part of Netways’ Social Responsibility initiatives, we have the pleasure to announce the opening of a Training Technology Center in Beit Mellet, Akkar – North Lebanon in collaboration with the Lebanese International Business Council (LIBC), Koudourat and Netways, in order to spread awareness among the community in Akkar on the necessity and importance of technology. The opening ceremony was held on Saturday 15th of September in Beit Mellet Municipality in Akkar

The ADAHI website (www.adahi.org) powered by Netways and managed by the Islamic Development Bank, enables the collection of ADAHI bills easily and quickly across all banks channels including ATM, Online Banking, Banks Phone Channels and SADAD Agents. The ‘Saudi Project for Utilization of Hajj Meat’ was established by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a noble purpose to realise Shari’ah objectives of Hajj and to enable Muslims Pilgrims to benefit from their Hajj and its rituals. The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia entrusted the management of this project to the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), which started its operations in 1403H. The Islamic Development Bank has previously assigned and awarded the website development,

payement gateway integration, hosting and support to Netways as their Technology Solutions Partner. This year was a very successful year in terms of orders where the amount of work has doubled with the online confirmed/paid orders increasing by more than 50% as compared to last year. However, Netways ADAHI support team showed an exceptional support and dedication to this project during Haj season by working day and night without any vacation to achieve this success. IDBG President has personally thanked Netways for the dedication provided during that period. In his recent interview with CNBC Arabia, he has shared his satisfaction over the website and its operations.

In addition, Netways will be running and operating the Beit Mellet Training Technology Center, providing courses and hands-on to the community in Akkar, to spread the knowledge and strengthen the capacity of rural people to engage in Information Technology and Communications that can lead to the creation of new job opportunities and reduce unemployment in the region. The ceremony included a speech by Jean Moussa, Regional Manager at Netways, who stated that this Technology Training Center will contribute to the development of the community in Beit Mellet and that Netways is looking forward to transfer its experience and expertise to the

young generation in Akkar, willing to learn the capabilities of technology and succeed through globalization. He added that Netways will be recruiting as a first step 20 persons from the region and will train them so they can transfer the knowledge and culture of technology to the people in Akkar and open new centers later one in other regions. The opening ceremony was followed by a lunch in the village of Gebrayel, sponsored by Netways. After lunch, a tour was organized to the “Awafi” organic farms in Gebrayel and to some touristic and archeological sites. The opening ceremony news was published on several media channels (newspapers, television stations, online publications, etc.) The center started its operations on Monday 26th of November where Netways has recruited a team of specialists that will be running the center and training the community in Akkar on the basics of Computer and Microsoft Office as well as courses related to the use of internet, HTML and social media.

كشف الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة الحكومة اإللكترونية محمد القائد لموقع »األيام« )عدد ٨٥٩٦ ، ٢٢- ١٠ - ٢٠١٢( أن ميزانية مشروع نظام زاجل للمراسالت اإللكترونية الوطنية بلغت حوالي 4٨٨ ألف دينار. وأشار القائد في تصريح لـ »األيام« الى ان المرحلة األولى من النظام بدأت مع بداية دور االنعقاد الثالث للفصل التشريعي الثالث، بمشاركة ٩ جهات وطنية معنية بإطار العالقة بين السلطتين التشريعية والتنفيذية. وحول ما إذا كانت هناك احتماالت من اختراق النظام، أشار الرئيس التنفيذي لهيئة الحكومة اإللكترونية إلى أن »الجانب األمني وتحقيق أقصى قدر من الحماية للمعلومات فيه من أهم الجوانب المرتبطة بتشغيل نظام زاجل«.وتابع: أن بيئة النظام تعمل ضمن الشبكة الحكومية للمعلومات المركزي الجهاز بإشراف تعمل والتي GDN اآلمنةوتحتوي على منظومة متقدمة من الجوانب األمنية. وفي سياق متصل، ذكر أن نظام »زاجل« يتطلب صالحيات للدخول بحيث يكون لكل شخص مخول مجموعة معينة من البيانات التي يمكنه االطالع عليها بحسب صالحياته، فيما يوفر أيضا الخصائص األساسية المرتبطة بالنظم التقنية مثل التشفير، وجداول المتابعة، والجداول التاريخية. وذكر أنه تم تقييمه من قبل فريق فني مختص تكون من خبراء وفق المشروع في المشاركة والجهات الهيئة من ومستشارين ضوابط مجلس المناقصات، وتم االتفاق مع الشريك التقني لتطوير لشركة ذهبيا شريكا تعد التي »نتويز«، شركة وهي النظام
