There are two Exams conducted in India for Lectureship.

■ NET Exam

■ SLET Exam

CBSE UGC NET Exam 2016

■ CBSE UGC NET Exam is conducted for determining the eligibility for the Award of junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Lectureship Eligibility in various Indian colleges & Universities.

■ NET Exam is conducted to ensure a minimum standard for the applicants in Teaching & Research Profession.

■ In India NET Exam is conducted in 78 subjects at 74 university centers.

■ Candidates qualifying for JRF (NET), will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET)

SLET Exam 2016

■ SET Exam qualified candidates are also eligible for the lectureship post in the college & universities in the same state, they have passed the SET Exam.

■ SET Exam is conducted in English & the vernacular both languages.

■ SET Exam was bought by the state government by which candidates can appear in the Exam in their mother tongue.

Eligibility for NET & SLET Exam

1. Educational Eligibility:• For General 55% in Masters• For ST/SC 50% in Masters

2. Age Limit:There is no age limit for both Exams.

3. Attempts:Candidates can attempt any number of chances in NET & SLET Exams.
