⬜ Recent years have witnessed rapid growth rates in computer network traffic. Hence NetCheck comes into picture with a very vital role playing in the field of monitoring the network Management is more than just managing the network. When a part of network went down in engineering area connected in serial topology we suspected break in chain at a transceiver tap.
The most common and serious problem of network are connectivity failures , which are in category fault management FAULT is generally interpreted to mean failure in accessing network and system by the users the network failure caused by failure of passive links
⬜ Fault notification – provides notification to user about fault in interfaces indicating up or down of interface in device
⬜ Performance – system polls periodically for the counter variables pertaining to interfaces utilization and caches them reports are generated
⬜ Status - System shall maintain inventory and status information pertaining to network devices and interfaces and shall provide reports for the same.
⬜ Periodically polling of device for current information.⬜ Accounting –keeps track of who has logged in what kind
of parameters has been done on the NMS and what time
Hardware requirements⬜ The software can be run on any computer with the following
hardware configuration ⬜ A Pentium 4 processor with 2.4MHz⬜ 256 or 512MB RAM support and ⬜ 20GB or greater hard disk
Software requirements⬜ This software is build on Java platform “as we no writ once execute
any where else “ can be run on windows XP with Java compiler.⬜ Eclipse software ⬜ Java plug-in⬜ SNMP simulator

⬜ The network management system became easy by SNMP protocol .which is very simple and easy to implement in the devices . Because it is a simple solution, requiring little code to implement, vendors can easily build SNMP agents to their products. Thus NMS allow the administrator to be aware taking care of Network which make easy to handle the network , and over come the problems by sitting in the one place.
