Throwing the ball
3. You cannot run with the ball
1. You can hold the ball for maximum 3 seconds
4. Your landing foot must stay on the ground whenyou have the ball
(you can PIVOT using your landing foot as thebase)
2. You cannot throw ball over two thirds
Throw-ins and Free passesThrow-in: if ball goes off court. The ball is given to theteam that DIDN'T touch ball last before it went off.
Free pass: if one team fouls (1 exception: contact) theother team gets a free pass.
How to take a free pass: See where the ref says thepass must be taken from. Put the ball down. Let the
'best-placed' player pick it up.

Contact and Obstruction
What is contact?: when you push, stumble into orcollide with player or if you try to grab the ball when it
is in your opponent's hands
What is obstruction?: when you obstruct youropponent, eg: by waving your arms at her when she
doesn't have the ball
What happens if you are called up for contact orobstruction?: a penalty pass is awarded to the other
team.
Penalty Passes
When the pass is against you: you must stand next toyour opponent when they take their free pass. You
must have arms by your side and not shout.
When it is your penalty pass: as with the free pass,have the most appropriate player take the pass.
Penalties in the 'D': the opposing team gets to take ashot.
