Welcome to the 2018 Neilston Agricultural Show. This year we are holding our 193rd show which is a great achievement.

Cattle, Sheep, Heavy and Light Horse sections form the backbone of an agricultural show, and again this year, I am sure they will turn out in good numbers. I wish all exhibitors a successful day competing in their classes and good luck to the judges sorting them in order.

We have the usual array of stalls, trade stands and ever popular exhibits. The fantastic Show Dome which again we have kept as a free attraction has grown again this year. The exhibitors in the Dome are extremely enthusiastic and it is well worth popping in to see them. The Craft and Homecraft tents show the talents of the local ladies and some gents – so please do go along and have a look. You will be surprised by the quality of the items on display.

The local schools are again taking a leading role in the show with the Races and Tug of War competition. This is a major attraction for the local community.

We are looking forward to an exciting, fast paced games display from the Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire Hunt Pony Club.

We are indebted to the Crawford, Docherty and Murdoch families for again allowing us to use their fields for the show. sheepdog trials, carpark and Horse section.

Our thanks must go to all of the society Directors who willingly give up their time to enable the show to go ahead, and to all our sponsors for their invaluable support. It takes a lot of time, money and effort by many people to put the show on so I hope we have a dry, warm, sunny day so we can all enjoy it.

Hope to see you there.
