Dear Citizens of Orange County:

What an exciting year it has been for Orange County Neighborhood Pride Grants. This program supports citizens and organizations working to revitalize and beautify their neighborhoods.

I am proud to report that this year we awarded 54 Neighborhood Pride Grants, totaling more than $350,000. This grant money allowed citizens to make a positive difference in neighborhoods and communities throughout Orange County.

I would like to thank the Orange County Board of County Commissioners for their support in making this program a success. In addition, I would like to commend the dedicated citizens who are active in their community and strive to improve the quality of life throughout the county. Your tireless efforts are what make this program so successful.

Please continue to engage your community leaders and neighbors to generate ideas that will strengthen our region. Together, Orange County Government and its citizens can partner to make our county the place to live, work, learn and raise a family.

Sincerely,

Teresa JacobsOrange County Mayor

Neighborhood Grants Advisory Board

Greetings From the

The Neighborhood Grants Advisory Board (NGAB) is proud of its work in helping to revitalize communities throughout Orange County. Since its inception in 2002, The NGAB has played a major role in approving grants that have benefitted a variety of neighborhoods in Orange County.

The NGAB consist of seven citizen members who are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Each member may serve a term of two years. Our main responsibility is to review grant applications for each neighborhood grant program created under the Neighborhood Preservation and Revitalization Division. This includes overseeing the appeals from grant applicants, monitoring the progress of grant recipients, and submitting an annual report to the Board of County Commissioners.

We applaud the efforts of all the neighborhood leaders and Homeowner’s Associations who are actively working to promote community pride in their neighborhoods. We would also like to thank all volunteers, non-profit agencies, and neighborhood groups who devoted countless hours of their time to help with neighborhood projects and community clean-ups. This program has allowed us the opportunity to learn and gain more insight into the needs of our community. We are excited to serve you in this capacity.

The NGAB would also like to thank Mayor Teresa Jacobs and the Board of County Commissioners for their continued support of the Neighborhood Pride Grants. Together, we have truly made a difference in our neighborhoods.

Sincerely,

Lyndon CarterChairNeighborhood Grants Advisory Board
