    CONGRATULATIONS TO

    LTC Mike Thomas on assuming command of the

    99th Pursuit Composite Squadron and was an-

    nounced at the 2009 Wing Conference.

    LTC Charles Lane, whom charted the unit in

    August 1990 and a former Tuskegee Airman,

    has been named to the position of Commander

    Emeritus.

    SLS/CLC COURSES are scheduled

    for 30 May at Camp Ashland.We

    need an instructor for the SLS. If

     you are interested, contact LTC Dennis Cur-

    tis at [email protected] ASAP. If we

    don’t get one, the SLS course will have to

    be cancelled.

    NEBRASKA WING CONFERENCE 2009

    This year’s Wing Conference was held at the Holiday Inn Omaha Convention Center where our

    National Commander, Brig. Gen. Amy Courter; National Headquarters Staff Representative, Mr.

    Jim Tynan; NCR Commander, Col. Steve Kuddes and his wife Barb; NCLR Commander, LTC Mike

    Pederson, Adjutant General Commander, Maj. Gen. Timothy Kadavy; Nebraska State Director,

    Mr. Otto Wachholtz; 66 Seniors and 42 Cadets of the Nebraska Wing Members, and 12 Guests

    were in attendance. The 2010 Wing Conference is scheduled for 26-28 March at the Hyatt Re-

    gency in Omaha, NE. A big Hearty CONGRATULATIONS to all honorees and a list of the

    awards is attached to this bulletin. ColonelTodd will be contacting the unit commanders to make

    arrangements to get the awards out to the members for presentation who were not there.

    NEW TRAINING REQUIREMENT FOR ALL PILOTS:Aircraft Ground Handling is another recently new

    online course that should be available (with the ‘bugs’

    corrected from National HQ) 6 April. When you com-

    plete the course, send an email to Capt. Fred Meier

    ([email protected]) with your course

    certificate number and completion date for him to

    record in your pilot file at wing headquarters.

    AE News: The first quarter (Jan-Mar) is now over.Please fill out your quarterly report and send it to

    Wing Headquarters. The Aerospace Education staff

    appreciates your timely manner is getting these

    reports to wing. We want to know what your unit

    members are participating in!
