unless the Hoosiers finish outside of the top eight, then only the top seven teams in the league are invited.

As members of the Big 12, the Huskers won three regular-season conference titles and five tournament titles.

Missing LinkThe Nebraska soccer team has been without the services of senior forward Jordan Jackson so far this season due to an injury.

The lone senior on the 2012 squad, Jackson started every game the past two seasons and earned 14 starts as a true

freshman in 2009.

A second-team All-Big Ten selection a year ago, the Huskers are hopeful that Jackson will be able to return to the lineup for Friday’s Big Ten opener at Northwestern.

Fire AwayThe Huskers got off 30 shots in last Saturday’s 4-0 win over Southeast Missouri State, which ties Purdue for the most shots in a game this season by a Big Ten team.

Last season, the Huskers also put up 30 shots in a 8-1 win over Northern Arizona on Sept. 4, 2011. Prior to the game with the Lumberjacks, the last time the Huskers posted 30 or more shots was on Sept. 21, 2008, when they posted 31 shots in a 2-1 win over Stephen F. Austin.

Young Fire Power10 of the Huskers 11 goals this season have been scored by freshmen or sophomores, including four from NU’s freshmen class.

Junior Stacy Bartels is the only junior or senior to score a goal in 2012.

Sophomore Mayme Conroy leads the team with three goals after scoring one as a true freshman last season. Freshman Katie Kraeutner and sophomore Hannah Dittmar rank second on the team with two goals each, while freshman Jaylyn Odermann, freshman Alex Massey and sophomore Caroline Gray have each scored one goal.

Charting SavesJunior goalie Emma Stevens entered the 2012 season ranked eighth on the Huskers all-time saves list with 100 saves.

The Corona, Calif., native enters the weekend in sole possession of sixth place on the all-time chart with 125 saves, one ahead of Jessica Mills (2007-09).

Rebecca Hornbacher (1996-97) sits in fifth place with 141 saves.

Entering his 19th season at the helm for the Huskers, Walker had produced the 20th-best career winning percentage among active NCAA Division I women’s soccer coaches at .691 (256-108-23). He also ranked 22nd all-time with his .691 winning percentage among coaches with a minimum of 10 years at the helm. Walker is the only head coach to produce more than 100 wins in fewer than eight seasons and notched his 200th career victory in the 2005 NCAA Tournament.

Under Walker, the Huskers have made NCAA Sweet 16 appearances in eight of the last 16 years, including two trips to the Elite Eight. They had compiled a remarkable 231-86-23 record over the last 16 seasons and won three Big 12 regular-season crowns and five Big 12 Tournament titles. NU swept both Big 12 Conference titles in 1996, 1999 and 2000.
