The Selective Sampler™


Selective Sampler™ Overview


• It is an external accessory that increases analytical selectivity by adding a differing stationary phase column before the MINICAMS® column

• No modifications need to be made to the MINICAMS® for operation

• Does not affect cycle time• Can be used for GC and non‐GC based analytical systems

Selective Sampler™ Overview


• The instrument is fitted with any 0.32 mm capillary column at the time of manufacture.

• The column can be changed anytime based on analytical requirements

• The instrument footprint is 7”H X 9”D X 11”W and weighs 10 lbs.

Selective Sampler™ Operation


• It uses the same nitrogen, vacuum, and air (optional) as the MINICAMS®

• It uses the same PCT as the host system• It uses a custom electrical cable to synchronize with the MINICAMS® purge and sample times

• It receives flow rate signal from the MFC connected to the MINICAMS®

• Selective Sampler flow rate determines the mass delivered to the MINICAMS® column



• The instrument features 20 X 4 backlit LCD with an integrated 6‐button key pad

• Agent gate timing is adjusted here



• Adjusting the agent gate• Allow the Selective Sampler to synchronize with the MINICAMS®

• When the MINICAMS® is sampling the Selective Sampler is purging and vice versa

• Using the user interface, adjust the agent gate so that only the analyte of interest elutes from the column
