Description

Like magic… 1″ reference ball attaches itself to any ferromagnetic material, making a radiographers life just a little easier. The ball can be used as a reference for measuring pipe wall.

For accurate measurement, the ball must be put as near as possible to the exact side of the pipe parallel to the image media so that the enlargement of the pipe wall is the same as that of the ball.

If the comparator or ball is not touching the pipe because of insulation, aim the source at the center of the space between the two. This will help insure an equal amount of enlargement to the ball and the pipe wall. (Think of how the source side of an

elliptical 2” weld is distorted more than the film side).

The top and bottom of our one-hundred (100) cell film storage box is constructed of heavy (200 BP) white corrugated cardboard.

The die cut design with locking tabs is easily assembled by hand without the use of tape or staples. The pre-assembled one-

hundred (100) cell divider sets in the bottom of the box, over a numbered grid that automatically denotes a space for each of the

The separate lid is die cut design and printed with spaces allowing for all pertinent information as to the pipeline owner,

engineering company, contractor, radiography contractor, job numbers, film numbers, etc. The lid also has a printed grid that

ECHO FD comes standard with 2 independent gates, DAC, AWS, API 5UE, B-scan software and 2 Gb of datalogging

memory, 13 hour battery life with internal rechargeable batteries. ECHO FD also allows for one hand operation

with a simple, intuitive user interface all for the price of equal or less than you are paying for your high end

thickness gauges.

Mechanically the ECHO FD has been designed from the ground up to offer the latest in ergonomic design. ECHO

FD has a convenient rubber boot with stand, 4 point chest harness, padded strap and even a finger hole for the

ultimate in instrument balance. We even designed in the ability to use a magnetic pipe stand. All keys can easily be

reached with your thumb and the keys are raised rubber keypad with superior tactile feedback. The “F” keys light

up for alarm and charging conditions.
