The reckless use of resources is having harmful, irreversible effects on the environment. Therefore, while maintaining aesthetics and functionality as essential features, we are committed to creating materials which minimise the consumption of resources and which are environmentally friendly. We base our environmental awareness on a rational system through which we create long-lasting materials whose composition uses resources of mineral origin which are abundant on the planet, and materials from recycled sources. Thus, we offer society products with a long life cycle which increase the possibility of recycling, as they do not have harmful effects on the planet. We wish to be another link in the chain promoting the circular economy.

Coverlux® se fabrica en planchas de espesor de 10 mm, pudiendo ser autoportante y realizar objetos estructurales mediante apoyos puntuales. El formato de las planchas es 2440 mm x 1220 mm con un acabado alto brillo que no requiere de una manipulación extra.

Debido a que no se trata de una impresión superficial se consiguen decorados en toda su masa próximos a la de la piedra, siguiendo un patrón orientativo, resultando diseños únicos en cada plancha.El recubrimiento superficial le concede un alto brillo que ofrece una percepción visual con efecto vitrificado. Algunos modelos de Coverlux® presentan una translucidez difusa como ocurre con algunas piedras.

Coverlux® sheets are not surface printed. Instead they are patterned throughout to emulate natural stone, with each sheet varying in design to make it unique. The top coating’s gives it a high gloss shine with a vitrified effect. Some models of Coverlux® are slightly translucent in places, just like some types of stone.

The sheets can be seamlessly bonded to one another using the mitering technique, ensuring a continuous design and top coating. Coverlux® can be cut with the same tools as wood, following the necessary recommendations. There is no crystalline silica in its formula.

El compromiso por el cuidado del medio ambiente nos ha llevado a reducir el contenido en resinas para la elaboración de los paneles, a la par que hemos sustituido parte de su composición por trihidrato de alúmina, principal componente de Krion®. Así, utilizamos materias primas de origen mineral y otorgamos propiedades mecánicas e ignífugas a nuestros paneles. Logramos que más de 3/4 de FITWALL® tenga componentes de origen mineral.

De este modo, Fitwall® se compone de mineral (trihidrato de alúmina) mezclado con resina, que aporta dureza y resistencia al fuego; pigmentos minerales inorgánicos que proporcionan un aspecto estético natural, y fiberglass que aporta tenacidad y flexibilidad al material.

Our commitment to caring for the environment has led us to reduce resin content for the creation of the panels, as we substituted part of its composition with alumina trihydrate, the main component of Krion®. Thus, we use raw materials of mineral origin, giving our panels mechanical and flame retardant properties. 3/4 of FITWALL® is made up of components of mineral origin.

In this way, Fitwall® is made of minerals (alumina trihydrate) mixed with resin, offering durability and fire resistance; inorganic mineral pigments which provide a natural aesthetic appearance; and fibreglass, giving the material toughness and flexibility.

EPUPRECO PRODUCTIVE USE PET RECYCLED

Desde Krion apostamos por la sostenibilidad racional para minimizar el consumo de recursos. En nuestros paneles decorativos Fitwall hemos conseguido sustituir gran parte del contenido plástico por mineral llegando a un 65% del contenido total. Y ahora queremos dar un paso más incorporando PET reciclado en la resina que se utiliza para conformar los paneles. Por ahora es un pequeño paso pero en cada panel, gracias a esta tecnología, podremos encontrar la cantidad de plástico reciclado (PET) como para construir 20 botellas.

At Krion we are committed to rational sustainability to minimise the consumption of resources. In our Fitwall decorative panels we have replaced much of the plastic content with minerals, amounting to 65% of the total content. We now want to take a step further, incorporating recycled PET in the resin used to form the panels. This is currently a small step, but thanks to this technology, in each panel we can find enough recycled plastic (PET) to make 20 bottles.

Es un material similar a la piedra natural. Este material está compuesto por dos terceras partes de minerales naturales (ATH: Trihidrato de Alúmina) y un bajo porcentaje de resinas de gran resistencia. Esta composición dota a Krion® de unas claras particularidades exclusivas: carencia de poros, antibacterias sin ningún tipo de aditivo, dureza, resistencia, durabilidad, facilidad de reparación, escaso mantenimiento y fácil limpieza.

It is a material similar to natural stone. Two thirds of this material is made up of natural minerals (ATH: Alumina Trihydrate) and a low percentage of high strength resins.This composition gives Krion® clear, exclusive features: absence of pores, antibacterial without any kind of additives, hardness, strength, durability, easy repair, minimal maintenance and easy cleaning.

Krion se compone principalmente de mineral natural (ATH) y resina acrílica de alta calidad. Gracias al continuo I+D+I efectuado por Krion, se ha conseguido mediante un nuevo proceso tecnológico incorporar resina acrílica reciclada al producto final.Esta nueva tecnología nombrada como (EPUAR) puede ser aplicada en la mayor parte de los colores que componen la oferta de Krion.Mediante EPUAR Technology podemos llegar a introducir hasta un 20% de contenido reciclado acrílico, en el peso total de la plancha de Krion.

Krion is mainly composed of natural mineral (ATH) and high quality acrylic resin. Thanks to the continuous R&D carried out by Krion, it has been possible to incorporate recycled acrylic resin into the final product through a new technological process.This new technology known as (“EPUAR”) can be applied to most of the colors that make up Krion’s offer.Through EPUAR Technology we can introduce up to 20% recycled acrylic content in the total weight of the Krion sheet.

Con el objetivo de reciclar los residuos generados en la producción de Krion® y de fomentar a su vez la economía circular en nuestro proceso productivo, hemos desarrollado el Sistema Ecocycle®. Se trata de un proceso por el cual se hace uso de los retales sobrantes de la producción de Krion® para elaborar y producir nuevos diseños, como las gamas de colores Terrazzo, Materia y Royal+ que están compuestos de hasta un 43% de material reciclado.

In order to recycle the waste generated in the production of Krion® and in turn to promote the circular economy in our production process, we have developed the Ecocycle® System. This is a process which makes use of the offcuts left over by the Krion® production process, for creating and producing new designs, such as the Terrazzo, Materia and Royal+ colour ranges which are made of up to 43% recycled material.

An environmental product declaration (EPD) is a document that contains objective and transparent information verified by a third party about a product with regard to its environmental performance throughout its life cycle.With the EPD Krion® K·Life 1100 demonstrates the reduction of the impacts on the environment in a quantitative manner. The photovoltaic activity of the material is what causes, in the use and maintenance phases the creation of benefits to the user and environment, including the disposal of dangerous compounds from the air and a reduction in maintenance intervals, resulting in lower consumption of water, chemical products and energy. In order to carry out this study 3 use cases were considered on the basis of the most common applications: Exterior cladding, interior coating and furniture/fittings.With the EPD Krion® K·Life 1100 demonstrates the reduction of the impacts on the environment in a quantitative manner. The photovoltaic activity of the material is what causes, in the use and maintenance phases the creation of benefits to the user and environment, including the disposal of dangerous compounds from the air and a reduction in maintenance intervals, resulting in lower consumption of water, chemical products and energy.
