VERTICAL LIFT MODULESVertical Lift Modules (VLMs) provide functionality in compact automated storage and retrieval systems while saving floor space and increasing productivity. The dual inverters and advanced extractor mechanism, which operate in the vertical plane, allow for quick cycle times. The computer-controlled platform transfers storage trays from the access port to an appropriate storage location. The variable tray speeds permit sensitive and non-sensitive inventory to be stored in the same module. While the trays remain in the module, they are protected from the outside environment. Multiple weight capacity trays can be used in the same module to store a wide range of items, optimizing costs and density.
