only be groomed in an educational institution having appropriate standard and facilities. With such a noble

vision in heart, NESGI began its journey. Since its inception, NESGI has been dedicated towards providing

The Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan, Nasarapur, Pune is one amongst the many

Academic Activity

Inauguration of Pharmacy Programme

Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigaon, Nasarapur, Pune had organized an inauguration on 1st

August 2017.

On the occasion of the inauguration programme Mr. Popatrao N. Suke, President, Navsahyadri

Education society, Naigaon delivered welcome speech & Dr. Kishor Otari, Principal, Navsahyadri

Institute of Pharmacy, Naigaon introduced management, all teaching, non teaching staff and students

to each other. The introduction and detailed information about Navsahyadri Education Society

delivered by Mr. Sagar Suke, Group director, Navsahyadri Education society, Naigoan. Followed by a

session on pharmacy carrier by Dr. R. J. Patil, Principal, Navsahyadri Education society faculty of

Engineering, Naigoan. Carrier development by Dr. Charak, Director, Navsahyadri Education society

faculty of Management, Naigoan. The objective of the session was to sensitize the first year students in

their early days in the institute to set the goal at first year level and to motivate them for future

prospective. Also to inculcate the importance of soft skills and personality development to grow in all

aspects.

The last session of the programme was delivered on pharmacy curriculum for B. Pharmacy course,

name of subjects and examination pattern by Mrs. T. A. Mandhare, Assistant Professor, Navsahyadri

Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan. All faculties and supporting staff were present for the programme.

Induction Program for B. Pharm

Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan,

Nasarapur, Pune had organized an induction

programme on 1st August 2017 for the newly

admitted students of the F. Y. B. Pharmacy which

included various sessions in order to introduce the

students to the Pharmacy profession as well as to

place in last week of September to address the academic progress as well as academic issues of the

students. The committee consists of Dr. Kishor Otari, chairman with two members for evaluation of the

documents. This committee addresses the deficiencies in the documents as well as issues of the

students, monitors the attendance and performance of the students, counsels them and provides

means to overcome their drawbacks and takes care of their holistic personality development and

observes that whether the academic will run smoothly.

As per norms of MSBTE, Pune, the Navsahyadri Institute of

Pharmacy, Naigoan, successfully faced first external

academic monitoring committee in first week of October to

evaluate the academic progress. The committee consists of

First Parents Meet

First Parents Meet was organized for parents of First year B. Pharmacy & First year D. Pharmacy on 28

October 2017. Principal Dr. Kishor Otari welcomes all parents and explained the credit based

examination pattern to the students. The Guardian Faculty Members and Class teachers discussed the

progress of the ward with their parents.

Result Declaration

The result of End Semester examination conducted by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological

University, Lonere, Mahad is declared in second week of February. Above ninty percent students are

successfully clear the exam. The toppers were felicitated by Dr. Kishor Otari, Principal, Navsahyadri

Institute of Pharmacy, Pune

Guest Lecture Personality Development

A guest lecture on Personality development for pharmacy students was organized in Navsahyadri

Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan, Nasarapur, Pune. Faculty members and All Pharmacy students

attended the guest lecture. The lecture commenced with a brief introduction and felicitation of the

speaker, Mr. Ghuge Sir. He started the session with great enthusiasm, which persevered throughout the

session. Initially, Mr. Ghuge covered the meaning of personality. He described the various methods &

processes involved in Personality development, and their significance success in carrier. He also

discussed the various ways & techniques of personality development.

The session ended on an interactive note, followed by vote of thanks & the feedback from the students.

Participation in poster presentation competition at Navsahyadri Institute of Technology (Polytechnic) Nasarapur

Participation of students in conferences creates opportunities for reflection and engagement in building

confidence. Shivarkar Harshrda & team, Galve Vishal & team from First year B. Pharm, Navsahyadri

Institute of Pharmacy, Naigaon attended the Poster presentation competition held in second week of

September in Navsahyadri Institute of Technology (Polytechnic), Nasarapur. They also won appreciation

award in the same event.

Guest Lecture Positive Attitude - A Recipe for Success by Dr. Dias Sir

A guest lecture on “Positive attitude – A recipe for success” for pharmacy students was organized in

Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan, Nasarapur, Pune on 2nd Nov. 2018. Faculty members and

All D. Pharm & B. Pharm students attended the guest lecture. The lecture commenced with a brief

introduction and felicitation of the speaker, Dr. Dias Sir. He started the session with great enthusiasm,

which persevered throughout the session. Initially, Dr. Dias started lecture with a small Video which was

expressing the positive attitude. Video touched the student's heart and made them think that they are

lucky to have all the things around them. He also discussed the importance of positive attitude for

success in life.

The lecture ended on an interactive note, followed by vote of thanks & the feedback from the students.

Branch Manager, Bank of Maharashtra, Bhor.

In this event Oath was taken to all students in

order to “say no to corruption.”




Guest Lecture Impact of Globlization on student by Uttam Kamble

For success in everyday life it is not necessary to learn for

college only if you want to be successful in life you need to

learn from all aspects of life. Navsahyadri always follow

this statement. With these view Navsahyadri education

society organized the guest lecture by Mr. Uttam Kamble,

Editor, Sakal Media, Pune. Mr. Ghughe, introduce and

welcome the speaker. Mr. Uttam Kamble very effectively

started the lecture and continues it up to end of lecture. He

also explains impact of globalization on students and how

to take it for betterment of life. The lecture ended by vote

of thanks & the feedback from the students.

Guest Lecture on Ayurved & Health by Dr. Dongre

Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan, Nasarapur,

Pune & Narayandham, Narayanpur organized an expert

lecture on Ayurveda and Life by Dr. Dongare, Ayurvedic

expert in Narayandham. Dr. Dongare explained the meaning

of ayurveda with reference to various Vedas. He mentioned

how modern lifestyle increase stress in human

life which is responsible for various diseases

and disorders, which can be minimized by

practicing of ayurveda principles in day to day

life. The lecture ended by vote of thanks & the

feedback from the students.

Guest Lecture on Potentimetry by Mr. Kale

Guest Lecture was organized in the college on 2nd Dec. 2017. The

topic of the lecture was potentiometry. Mr. Kale, Associate Professor,

college of pharmacy, Pandharpur. He explained the principal and

instrumentation of Potentiometry for B. Pharm students. All the staff

members along with the students were present for the lecture. The

overall session was very good and interactive.

Guest Lecture on Potentimetry by Dr. Anwar SheikhGuest Lecture was organized in the college on 7th Dec. 2018. The

topic of the lecture was application of potentiometry. Dr. Anwer

Shaikh, Associate Professor, Allana college of pharmacy, Pune

delivered the lecture. He explained the basic principal,

instrumentation and application of Potentiometry with animated

videos for B. Pharm students. All the staff members along with the

students were present for the lecture. The lecture ended by vote of

thanks & the feedback from the students.




Guest Lecture on Cardiovascular system Dr. Aman Upganlawar

Guest Lecture was organized in the college on 8th Dec.

2017. The topic of the lecture was cardiovascular

system. Dr. Aman Upganlawar, Associate Professor,

college of Pharmacy, Chandwad, Nashik delivered the

lecture. He explained the Anatomy, physiology and

pathophysiology of disorders of cardiovascular

agents. He starts the lecture with introduction of

cardiovascular system, how it works and various

disorders of cardiac system. All the staff members

along with the students were present for the lecture.

The lecture ended by vote of thanks & the feedback

from the students.

PCI INSPECTION

The Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Pune is successfully completed the inspection by the Pharmacy

Council of India inspectors on 18th & 19th of December 2017. D. Pharm & B. Pharm Program of

Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Pune is accredited by Pharmacy council of India (PCI) for 3 years. We

wish to express our sincere gratitude towards our ever

supporting Management, Principals, Faculty, staff

and students.

Medicinal Garden Plant Visit

A medicinal plant garden visit was organized to 'Botanical

garden of Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Agriculture

University,' at Dapoli on 18th January 2018 for D. Pharm

students. Forty-six students and three teachers visited the site.

The aim was to show proper methods for managing medicinal

plants in a garden and to provide information on plants that

could be suitable for their gardens and for any pathological

diseases. The students and the teachers all enjoyed the visit

and found it informative and useful




Hospital Visit at Narayan Dham

Hospital visit at Narayan dham, Pune on 24th February, 2018- Hospital visit was carried out for D.Pharm and B.

Pharm students win the aim of upgrade the students the current knowledge about ayurvedic techniques & the

role of pharmacist in hospital. Total 118 students along with six faculty members were present. For this visit Dr.

Dongare, Chief medical Officer, Narayan Dham and the officials of the hospital of the particular unit explained our

students about the various departments of hospital. They also explained about the meditation and its usefulness

to students. They also provided herbal tea to all students.

Industrial visit at Aurvediya Arkshala, Satara

Institute organizes Industrial Visits for D.Pharm and B. Pharm students to upgrade the students with current

updates about the industrial profession. To provide the knowledge of modern techniques employed in the

industries. Students have visited the reputed Pharmacy industry, which helps to develop innovative ideas among

the students for the research.

Industrial visit at Aurvediya Arkshala, Satara on 24th February, 2018

Industrial visit was carried out for D.Pharm and B. Pharm students. Total 118 students along with six faculty

members were present. Dr. Satish Kulkarni, General Manager and the officials of the industry of the particular unit

explained our students about the Compounding, Dispensing, and packaging department. They also explained

about the actual process of extraction and preparations of various Ayurveda products. The students had good

interaction with them. They also briefed the students about approval process form various competent authorities

for the ayurvedic formulations. It was very informative and learning experience for students and faculty

members.MHT-CET Counseling Session

The MHT-CET counseling session i.e online webinar given by Expert of DTE, Maharashtra is arranged in

Navsahyadri college campus for 12th students and their parents. The all arrangement for webinar counseling

session is done in seminar hall of college. Total 50 students with their parents attended this session.

Guest Lecture on Environmental Science by Dr. Sunita Gaikwad

Guest Lecture was organized in the college on 2nd & 3rd May 2018. The topic of the lecture was Environmental

science. Dr. Sunita Gaikwad, Professor, Anatrao Thopate college, Bhor delivered the lecture. He explained the

Various aspects of environment and effect of human activity on environment . All the staff members along with

the students were present for the lecture. The lecture ended by vote of thanks & the feedback from the students.

Guest Lecture on Stereochemistry by Dr. Anwar SheikhGuest Lecture was organized in the college on 9th May 2018. The topic of the lecture was stereochemistry. Dr.

Anwer Shaikh, Associate Professor, Allana college of pharmacy, Pune delivered the lecture. He explained the

principal of stereochemistry with animated videos for B. Pharm students. All the staff members along with the

students were present for the lecture. The lecture ended by vote of thanks & the feedback from the students.



Extra-curricular activity

Independence Day

Navsahyadri Education Society, Naigoan, celebrated the Independence Day (15th August) event with great

enthusiasm. The programme began with the flag hoisting by honorable chief guest Mr. Popatrao Suke, President,

Navsahyadri Education society. Each individual present at the event sang The National Anthem with great pride.

Rangoli Competititon

The Institute celebrated the auspicious Ganesh Festival with great enthusiasm and spirit. The festival celebrated

with organization of Rangoli & Mehandi competition for the students of the Institute. The event was co-ordinated

by Ms. Neetu Gautam, Assistant Professor, Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan.

Fresher's Party

The Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigaon extended a warm welcome to the First year B. Pharmacy

students through “Fresher's party-2K17. The function started with Saraswati Poojan and lighting of the lamp by

Mr. Sagar Suke Group director, Navsahyadri Education society, Naigoan. Dr. R. J. Patil, Principal, Navsahyadri

Education society faculty of Engineering, Naigoan, Dr. Charak Director, Navsahyadri Education society faculty of

Management, Naigaon and Dr. Kishor Otari, Principal, Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan. Followed by

welcome address from Dr. Kishor Otari. The function was lined with a number of mind blowing and entertaining

tasks to be performed by the freshers.

Pharmacist Day

The Institute celebrated National Pharmacy day with the core theme “Role of Pharmacist in Social Healthcare”.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Kishor Otari followed by his speech on the theme of the National Pharmacy day.

To create Awareness about health in society all students of D. Pharmacy & B. Pharmacy are actively participate in

rally organized at Nasrapur Village. The rally is started from Cheladi to nasrapur market and finish at Cheladi.

Students created awareness amongst people by using various banners with them. These events witnessed active

and sincere participation by the students & all staff members.



Extra-curricular activity

Birthday Celebration of Mr. Popatrao Suke Saheb

The birthday celebration of the person, who is our inspiration and who has seen the dream of

Navsahyadri Education society Mr. Popatrao Suke Saheb, president, Navsahyadri Education society was

done on 3rd November 2018. The function was started with welcome of president sir with welcome

speech by Mr. Ghughe sir. After that the cake cutting was done and the speech was delivered by Mr. P. N.

Suke Sir. On this occasion the gifts to orphan houses children's with hand of President Sir were

distributed.



Sport Week

Annual Day

The institute organised sports week from 19th January. 2018 to 21st January. 2018. The event was inaugurated by

Dr. Kishor Otari, Principal, Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan, Nasarapur, Pune. Various out-door and

in-door games were held in the sports week like cricket, kabbadi, football, volleyball, throwball, chess, carrom,

table tennis etc. These events witnessed active and sincere participation by the students.

The annual day celebrated in Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan, Nasarapur, Pune. Black & White day,

Chocolate day, Shades of Red, Twin's day, Traditional day, Mismatch day etc were celebrated. Students

participated in different games and performed various events like dance, drama and fashion show in annual day

celebration. The event was concluded after Price distribution ceremony. All cultural events are successfully co

ordinate by Ms. Neetu Gautam.



Republic Day

Navsahyadri Education Society, Naigaon campus, celebrated the Republic day (26th January) event with great

enthusiasm. The programme began with the flag hoisting by honorable chief guest Mr. Popatrao Suke, President,

Navsahyadri Education society. Each individual present at the event sang The National Anthem with great pride.

The pragramme proceeded with a patriotic songs and speeches presented by Navsahyadri Gurukul students.

Immediately after the speeches all the dignitaries, teaching & non teaching staff proceeded towards the seminar

hall. A heartwarming speech was given by our chief guest Mr. Popatrao Suke, President, Navsahyadri Education

The Shiv-jayanti was celebrated in Navsahyadri Campus on 19th February. On this occasion the guest lecture is

delivered by Mr. Mahesh Dange about Leader qualities of Shivaji Maharaj. Also the exhibition on various

ordinance used for battle in era of Shivaji Maharaj was organized for all students and faculty.

Participation in Dance Competition at RDCOP, Bhor

The 15 students of D. Pharmacy & B. Pharmacy with Mr. Ritesh Vyavhare and Ms. Neetu Guatam, participated in

“Anant-Nirmala Pharma Ustav” at College of Pharmacy, Bhor, Pune on 10th February 2018. The students also won

runner up price in dance competition.

Shiv - Jayanti

National Service Scheme Health Check-up Camp at Gunand

Medical Check-up Camp, organized by Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan, Nasarapur, Pune Association

with Primary health care center, Bhongawali at Gunand Tal: Bhor on 16th January 2018.

Students Volunteers of the institute were participated in Medical Check-up Camp held at Gunand Tal: Bhor. The

students and the staff members of institutes and center were involved in routine health check-up of local

individuals & concluding health parameters like hemoglobin (Hb), blood sugar, blood pressure (B. P.), blood group,

etc. Total 150 peoples were benefited by this medical checkup camps. Advice regarding care and precautions in

use of medicines was also provided.



Tree Plantation

The Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigaon had undertaken the tree plantation programme at the

Medicinal Plant Garden on 26 September, 2018 at 10.30 am. The saplings were procured from the

nearby Nurseries and Botanical garden. The Students identified appropriate place for Herbal Drug

plants and prepared it for plantation. The program was inaugurated by the Principal Dr. Kishor Otari,

Along with him the faculty members and students actively participated. About 20 different varieties of

medicinal plants were planted in the institute premises.

Health Check-up camp at College

Medical Check-up Camp, organized by Navsahyadri Institute of Pharmacy, Naigoan, Nasarapur, Pune in

association with Bharti vidyappeth homeopathy college, Pune and Bhor health foundation, Bhor for all

Students, teaching and non teaching staff members in college campus on 5th Febuary. 2018.

The students and the staff members of institutes and center were involved in routine health check-up of

local individuals including health parameters like hemoglobin (Hb), blood sugar, blood pressure (B. P.),

blood group, and genital diseases etc. more than 250 Students, teaching and non teaching staff

members were take benefited by these medical checkup camp. Advice regarding care and precautions

in use of medicines was also provided.
