SPECIFICATION FOR CLEANING HARBOUR WALL

AND STATION SQUARE CLOCK-TOWER.-

Acid cleaning: concentrations and dwell times to be

determined by a suitably qualified contractor through initial

testing of small areas of masonry, to ensure the surface is

not damaged and sufficient cleaning is achieved. Wash-off

with super heated steam.

Extent of works:

Harbour wall- limited to parapet above road/ pavement

level, coping and seaward side to same level. Note this is

a listed building (Grade C Historic Scotland).

Clock Tower- concrete block tower, all external sides.
