TIDBIT- The salmon currently swimming upstream in the Okanagan River in northern Washington State started their lives four ago in the tributaries of Osoyoos and Skaha Lakes. From here they swam south in the Okanagan River through northern Washington, turned west into the Columbia River and out to the Pacific Ocean. After two years at sea the sockeye head back to the mouth of the Columbia River, roughly 150 kilometers' north-west of Portland, Oregon, before start- ing the journey back home. Salmon Cleaning & or filleting will be available for Elders (65+) & those with physical limitations. Please bring clean sanitized cooler and or container( s) for the Salmon to be placed in. Social distancing protocols will be in effect– if you wish to wear a mask please do so. Access: To ensure we have a safe and seamless traffic flow: 1. Enter Komasket Park by the Public Works& Hous- ing Entrance 2. Exit by way of Snccamala?tn Early Childhood Education Centre onto Westside Road.
