Be Loved! This may soundstrange, but what an invita-tion! You and I are to be

loved by the Father in our daily lives. In fact, this really is the primary ob-ligation of every believer!

Sometimes I meet people wholive continually frustrated withthemselves, because they feel asthough they are not loving God per-fectly! They strive to do this lovingGod thing – with all their heart, alltheir soul, all their mind and all theirstrength! Mark 12:30 They try and thenthey fail! And the result? Living lifefeeling condemned, like you justcan’t become good enough to be ap-proved by God, and accepted byHim!

However, this is why theGospel of Jesus Christ is such goodnews! This pattern of our own ef-fort to love Him, is man made andhas never been possible! No one can

love God perfectly, 24 hours, 7 daysa week! We love Him because Hefirst loved us. 1 John 4:19 This is whyGod gave us His only begotten Son– the love display towards us – evenwhile we were yet sinners! Romans 5:8

Now, our task is to receive Hislove! This really shows our devotionto Him – letting Him love us! Andour love to Him is a reciprocal! It isbecause He first loved us that we areable to love Him. So our love to-wards Him is not a work or effort tofeel approved, but rather a responsebecause it is only possible to be ap-proved in Christ, and every believeris “in Christ.” When we receiveJesus and His work on the cross forus into our life then we are giving agenuine love response to God’s love. And that is true love because it isbased on the unconditional love wehave received from Him!

Do yourself a favor! Let your-

self Be-Loved! This is where youfind your favor in life from God! Itis called grace! It is unmerited, it isunearned! When you are daily loved, you take your place as the Beloved! This is where you are accepted, for-given, favored and fruitful!

This is what our mission workat Mutual Faith is about – impartingto people charisma! Romans 1:11-12 Joinus in this journey! Participate withus in this assignment! Let us tellpeople everywhere to Be-Loved!

This is really true and trustwor-thy for each of us! Because of Jesusand His wonderful finished work, you can be assured that God lovesyou completely, and we do too!

Nicodemus had snuck out atnight to see the great wonder-work-ing rabbi that all of Jerusalem, in-cluding his great Jewish rulingcouncil, the Sanhedrin, were talkingabout. When Jesus saw Nick, heknew that it was not just night forhim on the streets of Jerusalem butit was night for Nicodemus in hisinner man. While Nick wanted toimpress Jesus by telling Him howgreat he thought he was, Jesus didnot return the accolades, and cutright to the chase. He told Nick,“You must be born again.” John 3:3

Nick may have known a lotabout God, but he still didn’t knowGod. He still was cowering in thedarkness of his own religion andneeded to open himself up to thelife, light, and love of God. Beingborn again is really all about receiv-ing the love of the Father, seeingyour darkness swallowed up by His

Good News! My daughterAbigail Hershey was borninto the world on August

23, 2011. Her name means “fathersjoy” and she has already been a ful-fillment of that name in so manyways. Not just for her earthly father, but for her heavenly Father who“knit her together in her motherswomb” and from whom she was“fearfully and wonderfully made.”Psalm 139 Additionally Abigail is thefirst grandbaby for my parents Keithand Heidi Hershey. She has beentheir joy too!

Yet while she may be her “Fa-ther’s joy” when she was born ac-cording to the flesh, when shebegins to receive of that joy and loveof her heavenly Father, that is whenshe becomes “born again” or “bornof the spirit” as Jesus put it. Thisbrings me to the passage I want todiscuss John 3.

light, and starting to know yourselfas a be-loved disciple.

Just as being born naturally is apassive process, whereby the babysimply rests in the work and love ofit’s mama, so too is being bornagain! All that is required is that onerests in the work and loving arms ofyour heavenly Father. The goodnews is that as believers we knowthat we have the best parent in theUniverse who is infinitely more lov-ing, caring, and involved than all thebest mothers and fathers who haveever lived.

Being “born again” is abouthaving new life. It is about experi-encing on the inside the joy, love, and relationship with God that Hehas always wanted to have with us.It’s about having the life of ChristHimself living His life of love andfaith through us so that we can saywith Paul, “the life that I now live I

live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me.” Galatians 2:20

Many people have turned being born again into a work.Something that one has to do, like loving God more or lovingpeople more, rather than just the passive act of receiving thelove of God, of being loved – being the be-loved. This is whenone begins to see their inner man or their spirit being birthedinto the glorious reality of who we are in Christ and the Fa-ther’s love for us. This is when one opens their eyes to thekingdom of light, and has stepped out of the darkness of theirown religion. This is when they begin to see the kingdom ofGod John 3:3 which is righteousness, peace, and joy in the HolySpirit. This is when love for God and for people happens asa natural fruit of being engrafted into the love of God, andno longer becomes a work.

“Many people have turnedbeing born again into a work”

Maybe there is someone reading this and you are comingto Jesus in the darkness of your own religion. Jesus would sayto you “be born again!” Receive of the love and life of the Fa-ther. Do not continue wandering around in spiritual darkness.Believe in the love of the Father who sent me so that you canreceive of my life and not perish. For the Father sent me torescue you and not condemn you. John 3:16-17

Do not believe that you have disqualified yourself frommy love. Do not get caught up in looking to your own workand effort, but just rest in my work and my effort. That is whatthe Father would say to you. That is when life will begin torun well. When we simply allow ourselves to BE LOVED!That is when we truly begin to have new life surging throughus, when we feel like new people, like we have been BORNAGAIN!

“May the love of God, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and

the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all” 2 Cor 13:13

Since the horrific events of 9/11/01 Keith Hersheyhad an assignment in his heart for the precious peo-ple of the Middle East. While traveling throughout

the region and meeting Christian leaders in various nations,Keith’s heart was touched in a special way in Beirut, Lebanon, when he met Pastor Said (Si-eed) Deeb. Said, and his wifeCecile are very uniquely gifted people who have a great pas-sion for the people in the Middle East. After a season oftalking and praying together, Mutual Faith Lebanon waslaunched and registered as an official NGO in Lebanon.

For several years MFMI hosted conferences and eventsin Beirut. Then an opportunity to purchase a large 40,000square foot facility in the heart of Bourj-Hammoud, the

Naaba district in Beirut, opened. This facility was acquired,by Mutual Faith Ministries, in July of 2009 and fully reno-vated during the following 8 months. In March, 2010, theLife Center was dedicated to the Lord!

This Middle East Life Center campus now houses on-going ministries for the region, all of which are coordinatedby Said Deeb and the Mutual Faith Lebanon team.
