About the University
The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow is one of the premier central Universi-ties in the country. The jurisdiction of this resi-dential University is over the entire state of Uttar Pradesh. Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is a Central University, established on 10th January 1996. The 250 acres' Univer-sity campus named 'Vidya Vihar' is located off the Raebareli road, about 10 Km. south of Char-bagh, the main Railway Station of Lucknow. As one of the chief objectives of the University to cater to, and promote, the educational needs of the marginalized people, particularly the SC/ST communities and Women. At present, BBAU have Nine functional Schools comprising of more than twenty five functional departments such as:- School for Ambedkar Studies, School for Bio-Science Bio-Technology, School for Envi-ronmental Science, School for Education, School for Home Sciences, School for Info. Science Technology, School for Legal Studies, School for Management Studies, School for Physical Sci-ences, Department of Hindi, UIET, and CIIPP.
Research Methodology is dynamic in nature and
equips researchers with comprehensive outlook
about the research. Research is about searching
systematically for solutions to problems for which
statistical device is required. To address challenges
and opportunities in the field of research different
known software has enabled academicians and re-
searchers to obtain valuable information from the
data. Before proceeding for survey and data analy-
sis, basic knowledge of SPSS is required. The work-
shop aims to improve research skills and compe-
tence amongst the researchers in Yoga field via
strengthening their theoretical knowledge as well
as by giving them hands-on training with basics of
Research Methodology, use of software etc.
Objectives of the Workshop
The primary objective of this workshop is to develop the research and analytical skills amongst the research-ers. It will: • Enable the participants to define research problems and develop a suitable methodology for addressing the key issues. • Enable the participants to understand and select ap-propriate statistical tools in research. Provide participants an opportunity to gain experience in using state-of- the-art statistical software.

The participants to the workshop could be faculty
members, pre Ph.D students and research scholars who
have a strong orientation towards research in yoga or
allied subjects.

TAPESYA is a registered nongovernmental organi-
zation established with an objective to develop sci-
entific knowledge concerning computer science in
sports and physical education. To organize semi-
nars, debate, workshop and conferences to bring
the scientific community to the platform to share
and spread the knowledge related to physical edu-
cation, sports, yoga and health. TAPESYA has suc-
cessfully jointly organized two workshop on Re-
search methodology and Statistical Analysis. First
in MG Kashi Vidyapith Varnasi and second in AK PG
College, Shikohabad (U.P.)

There will only 40 seats for participants in the workshop. Interested candidates are requested to send their nomination latest by 15th August, 2016 through Registration Form in prescribed format (attached at the end) along with a cash/direct payment of the requisite amount. Participants have to make their own arrangement for staying. No lodging and Boarding will be provided . Par-ticipants are requested to bring their own laptop along with them. No laptops / PCs will be pro-vided by the organizers. A certificate of participa-tion will be issued for attending the workshop. Full attendance is mandatory.
