NATIONAL SKILL TRAINING INSTITUTE (NSTI),
DEHRADUN
Craft Instructor Training Scheme
Annual pattern of Craft instructor courses have been introduced
to cater the increasing demand of skilled instructors in various
Govt./Pvt. ITIs in the trades of Electrician & Wireman, Electronics
Mechanic, CHNM (IT&ESM) and CSA (COPA). Each trade stcomprises of Two Semester of 06 months duration of each e.g. in 1
ndSemester Trade Theory (TT-1) & Engineering Technology and in 2
Semester Trade Theory (TT-2) & Training Methodology. After
completion of 02 Semesters, participants will be competent enough
in their trade and become eligible for employment as trained
instructors in the Govt. & Pvt. ITIs.
New Age Lab
Advance courses of Electronics & Computer field having
employment potential are conducted in this lab.
Basic Training Provider (BTP) :
Institute is registered as BTP centre under National
Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme to conduct the Basic Training
Classes in the trade of Computer, Electronics, Cutting & Sewing,
COPA & Electrician. The Batches for Basic Training have started
from Feb 2019 onwards.
PMKVY :
The Institute has already registered as PMKVY centre. The
Courses under this scheme as per the guidelines will be
conducted for the participants having the required qualifications.
Short Term Courses
These courses are conducted for the Technical participants
sponsored by industries, Govt. & Pvt organizations in order
to upgrade their skills & knowledge as per need to perform
their job in systematic manner to enhance productivity.
Private participants having requisite qualification may also
apply. The qualification can be relaxed for those people who
are working/studying in the same field. The Short Term
courses for ITI passed students are also conducted to cater the
competency & confidence in their related field. It enables them
to face the challenges of employment in the Industries.
Tailor Made Courses
For optimum utilization of facilities, this institute is also
conducting tailor made courses on demand from
Government/Private Organization with mutual agreement. A
batch of minimum 15-20 participants is required to nominate
for Tailor made programme. The curriculum and schedule of
such courses are decided on mutual consultation. Naval Dock
Yard, Indian Coast Guard, Fleet Maintenance Unit, Material
Organisation, INS Shivaji, BRBNML & different State
Directorates are some beneficiaries of these courses.
Training of Trainers (TOT) & Training of Assessors (TOA) :
TOT & TOA training for Field Technician - Computing
& Peripherals (FTCP) is conducted in coordination & mutual
consideration with NSDC. It will be starting very soon in
this Institute.

the course at 9:00 AM.
6. If Monday happens to be a holiday, the scheduled course will commence on next working day and if Friday
happens to be a holiday, the scheduled course will conclude on the previous working day.
7. The Director may change/cancel any training program without assigning any reason.
8. Hostel facilities are limited & accommodation is allotted on first come first serve basis.
9. Under any circumstances participants accompanying family member will not be provided room in the
Hostel. Such requests for family accommodation will not be entertained.
