To facilitate and enhance the Productivity with Quality & Innovation by Introducing and Implementing Programmes/ Initiatives in Pakistan .

To lead the Continuous Productivity & Quality Movement in All Economic Sectors of Pakistan;
Develop and Strengthen the Economic Sectors in compliance with international best practices to make Pakistan more productive and Globally Competitive;
Represent Pakistan at APO (Asian productivity Organization), WCPS (World Confederation of Productivity Science) and WNPO (World Network of Productivity Organizations) to avail the multitude benefits related to productivity and quality;
Objectives
Developing Human Capital and organizational excellence (public and private sectors) for building a knowledge-based society through training, system development and best practices;
Carry out Research in Productivity and Quality aspects and establish productivity indices and standards for various economic sectors;
To implement International Certification Programs for Enhancing Competitiveness;
To implement Prime Minister Quality Award (PMQA) program for Organizational Performance Excellence;
To make Pakistan Energy Efficient.
Objectives

Asian Productivity Organization (APO) was established in 1961 with an objective to increase productivity in the Asia Pacific region by mutual cooperation.
Pakistan was one of the 8 founding members of APO. Today APO has 20 member countries.
Initially NPO being APO Liaison office was parked at PITAC.
Separate NPO-Pakistan office was established at Islamabad in 2001 and incorporated as non profit company in 2006
APO honored Pakistan as Vice Chairman for 55th Governing Body Meeting (GBM) at Tokyo, Japan
Pakistan contributes about US$ 220,000 to APO per Year
NPO Evolution
The World Network of Productivity Organizations (WNPO) is formed in March 1969.
NPO acquired membership of World Confederation of Productivity Sciences (WCPS) in 2010 which have 52 member countries including China mainland, America, Europe & Africa
NPO is honored as Regional Coordinator for World Academy of Productivity Science for the Pakistan, Common Wealth of Independent States (CIS), Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sri Lanka and Maldives.
No financial contribution is required for WCPS & WNPO.

Women Entrepreneurship Development System (2010-2013)
Established Women Entrepreneurship Development System in Multan. WEDS in Peshawar is under process.
Purpose of WEDS is to help rural women entrepreneurs for:
Assistance in branding, designing, packing and improving color scheme of their products according to modern trends
Facilitate to maximize their profits
Introduce their products from rural level to international level

Up to 25% Energy saving identified in 67 audited steel units

4. Cleaner Production (CP) Analysis Study
NPO in collaboration with IFC Conducting a Cleaner Production (CP) Analysis Study based on the Energy Efficiency Audits conducted by NPO.
5. Capacity Building of KPK
NPO is conducting trainings in KPK under ERKF project of SMEDA funded by World Bank and MDTF.
6. Public Enterprises Performance Management
NPO is organizing training in collaboration with Establishment Division.

7. IFC selected NPO to assist in capacity building for peach, rice and dairy sectors.
