Celebrations of International Day of Yoga by NIN

National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune celebrated 5th International Day of Yoga today on 21st

June 2019 in collaboration with Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and

Broadcasting, Government of India from 6:30 am to 8 am. The mega event was named ‘Pune

Yoga Street’ and thousands of participants attended mass yoga at Road of SarhadChowk,

Near Katraj Milk Dairy(Parlour No 2), Backside of Bharati Vidyapeeth, Katraj, Pune.

The event was graced by Shri D.J Narayan, Additional Director General, Regional Outreach

Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.Shri Santosh Ajmera, Director Additional

Charge, Regional Outreach Bureau, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government

of India.

National Institute of Naturopathy conducted International Day of Yoga at various Institutes

and Schools across Pune. A total of around 7045 persons including male, female and

childrenparticipated in the sessions from various institutes.

Program started with mass yoga performance as per common yoga protocol by the dignitaries

and around 3000 yoga enthusiasts from all over Pune participated in this event.

All the participants who attended the event were given a T shirt and were served Herbal tea

and sprouts. The event was a grand success with a good response from the Puneites.

In addition to above Prof. (Dr). K. Satya Lakshmi Director NIN had a talk on Fundamentals

of Yoga with Researchers, Staff and Director at AgharkarResearch Institute, Pune on the

occasion of Fifth International Day of Yoga.

At National Institute of Naturopathy, “YogParivarMahotsav” was organized participant

were invited along with their family and friends to perform Yoga as per Common Yoga

Protocol. Around 350 participants attended the program.

National Institute of Naturopathy, HIV Sanatorium at Panchgani

Dr Shivakesh Singh Resident Medical Officer, HIV Sanatorium Panchagani, took a session

on Yoga for children and its benefits at Kaswand Primary school and yoga for Kaswand

Villagers. Total 50 people were benefited by the program.

NIN conducted Common Yoga protocol at the office of Assistant Labour Commissioner,

Ammunition Factory; Khadki around 150 participants attended this program.

Accounts(Officers). Around 60 participants participated on the occasion of Fifth International

day of Yoga.

NIN conducted Fifth International Day of Yoga at National Aids Research Institute (NARI),

Bhosari, Pune. 100 Scientists and staff of the Institute participated in the lecture on Yoga for

Better Health.

NIN conducted Fifth International Day of Yoga for the trainees and staff of Indian Railways

Institute of Civil Engineering (IRICEN) around 200 participants attended this program.

Fundamental Research, Kothrud. Around 40 members including Research officers, medical

officers along with Assistant Director participated in this program.

Pune Municipal Corporation in association with NIN conducted YogSaptah from 14/06/19 to

21/06/19 in 16 regional offices across Pune. Total 2550 participants got benefitted during this

program.
