#NPW‐3 Outdoor Classrooms, Nature Trails OVERALL WINNER: NPW‐3 Aii The Tupelo Garden Club (Mississippi) ($500.00)‐ Tupelo Garden Club members (45) partnered with the City of Tupelo to beautify the Music Bend Nature Trail. The trail is just over 4 miles and has been a project for Tupelo Garden Club for several years, planting native trees and perennials. In Fall of 2017, members helped plant 650 pink tulip bulbs. For Arbor Day, members planted 10 pink crepe myrtles along the trail. In Spring, they planted the entrances with Lantana and Shasta daisies. Members maintain several beds along this trail each year, as well as replacing damaged trees. The club agreed to add additional Native shrubs this year.
