FLASH TALKIntentional Woman: Be BOLD and Carry OUT!What’s the real secret to reaching your full leadership potential while helping all women get their fair and equal share of leadership roles at the top by 2025. It starts with “I.” But it’s far from selfish.

Yes, it is embracing the power of your own intention. Of taking those elements of female socialization that have traditionally held us back and turning them into assets, superpowers even. Of understanding the difference between ambition and intention, of practicing the three powers of intention: vision, courage, and action.

Of accepting the call to action to have higher, bigger, bolder intentions. Because you can and because you are worthy of the success that will come to you when you do. Instead of “keep calm and carry on”, you’ll be bold and carry out.

11:00 am – 12:30 pm

SESSION IIICREATING YOUR “PERFECT WORK”: How to Go From Bored, Burned Out and Unfulfilled to Designing Work You LoveNo matter how much money we earn or how successful we look to others, we all get to a point where we feel bored, burned out or unfulfilled in our work. You may want more passion, meaning, freedom or impact in your work right now, yet have no idea where to start, what your perfect work looks like for you or how to overcome your fear of the risks to get it.

This session will equip you with a systematic process to discover, design and get highly paid doing work you love – be it radically shifting careers within your company, starting a business or bringing a big idea to life. If you have an unshakable desire to thrive in work you feel born to do, this is a session you don’t want to miss!

11:00 am – 12:30 pm

SESSION IVVANTAGE POINT: Training Your Brain to Become a Stronger LeaderBusiness success does not have to come at the cost of a good life. In this session you will learn the psychology and neuroscience to reverse this paradox and be the resilient leader you were born to be.

As leaders, our mental and emotional well-being impacts the entire organization. When challenge strikes, we need to be the one that rallies the team, but too often our triggers take over and we compromise influence, decision-making, and performance. In this session, you’ll learn three mental skills currently used by some of the highest performing professional sport and corporate teams to take back your power and triumph over your triggers. In addition, you’ll receive an access code for free use of the Vision Pursue mobile app to develop your own Performance Mindset.

Fa c i l i t at o r : JON MCGRAW | Principal | Vision Pursue, LLC

11:00 am – 12:30 pm

SESSION V THE LOCKER ROOM EFFECT: Where Change Happens—Impact of the Corporate AthleteLike a locker room, it’s a safe space where you can unleash, unmask and take a closer look at potential nuances that may hinder your leadership journey. It’s a place to try on something different. Whether you are an individual contributor or manager of others, the “how” you demonstrate next level key leadership skills and capabilities can move your performance to the next level.

This high impact leadership experience provides the ideal blend of self-awareness and essential skill building to bring out the best and more consistent you. This workshop is designed for leaders who want to accelerate and maximize their performance.

Objectives and Outcomes:• Secure your leadership bag with powerful techniques and tools to navigate the organization’s landscape

for desired outcomes• Overcome barriers with mental agility that enhances self-confidence, authenticity, credibility and a lasting

positive impact• Become more motivated about “how” to position your uniqueness as a competitive advantage that all

generations can connect with

3:00 – 4:30 pm SESSION II MANAGING UP! How to Connect Personal Leadership to Business Strategy The path to career success is not paved alone. We must leverage opportunities for collaboration and mentorship to achieve success and make an impact in our work. How do you show up as a leader, while advocating for others? How do you connect your personal career goals with your company’s overall objectives? Leading the way in your workplace while aligning with the business can be challenging. We’ll discuss ways to take the next step in your career by exploring how to draw connections through purposeful, meaningful action. This session will show you how to be an ally to your colleagues, a supporter of the many identities in your workforce and an advocate of a culture that thrives – all while positioning yourself as ‘sponsor-ready’ on the path to career advancement.

3:00 – 4:30 pm SESSION IIIFROM PIGEON HOLED TO PROMOTED: Be in Power to Create Your Next Level OpportunityAre you smart and get glowing performance reviews…but feel underutilized? Do you want to have more impact, more influence, and more challenging projects… but it’s not happening?

You have more power to create your next opportunity than you think. In this leadership development session, you will learn how to change perceptions that ‘pigeon hole’ you in your current role and get decision makers to see you as ‘ready now’ for next level opportunities.

Get inspired by women who created their next level opportunity even when they felt stuck, were passed over or wanted to be on the fast track.

Learn strategies to: • Self promote authentically and get senior leaders to know and trust you • Articulate your value to your Manager and get your Manager’s support• Counteract the “Prove-it-Again” bias that is the biggest derailer for women (so you can be chosen for roles

you don’t have direct experience for)• Shift from spread thin to being a strategic leader • Get a “Yes” when you ask for expanded responsibility or a new role

You’ll be able to leave the conference with a roadmap and strategic action plan to create your next level success!

3:00 – 4:30 pm SESSION IVHIDDEN FIGURESMany of you have watched a movie that made you laugh, think and cry. Well, there is no doubt Hidden Figures surpassed all three. Based on a true story about three brilliant African-American women who were Hidden away from their colleagues at NASA and the public, they served as the brains behind one of the most significant operations in history, the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. Even though Hidden Figures tells a story that took place half a century ago, it feels timely and relevant in light of ongoing struggles around race and gender today.

In this session, Hidden Figures is the catalyst to having a real, down to earth, courageous conversation about race and gender that opens our minds to how we can create a place of belonging for all. Additional takeaways include:

• Uncover gaps in our own personal and professional development. Discuss possible solutions to overcoming barriers that get in the way of our career advancement.

• Understand what we can do to help coach or mentor others who may be “Hidden Figures” in our organizations.

Congratulations 2019 Mosaic Woman Honorees

The Mosaic Woman Award HERstory DR. SYNTHIA SAINT JAMES is a world renowned multicultural visual artist, author, educator and a popular speaker. For more infor-mation on her prolific forty year career, and available artwork, visit www.SynthiaSaintJames.com.

In 2010, Dr. Sheila Robinson honored me with the commission to create an excep-tional painting for the Mosaic Woman Awards. It was essential that the painting

epitomize women of diverse and intersection-al backgrounds, enhanced with sensations of individual self-esteem, pride, togetherness, and sisterhood. Then, utilizing the brilliant palette of the Diversity Woman magazine and my own luminous colors, I began the paint-ing almost immediately.

Annually the painting, Mosaic

Woman, is reproduced as a Giclee on Canvas for ONLY the women being honored that year. There are no other fine art reproductions of Mosaic Woman available, not even to purchase. Then

after the Giclees are printed I drive, (two hours round-trip), to my Giclee printer to hand-sign each Giclee on Canvas before they are custom framed and shipped out from Van Nuys, CA. to the location of the conference.

In addition to the Mosaic Woman Award, I’ve created a Lifetime Achieve-ment Award for the Honorable Nelson Mandela from Africare, the We See You Award for Sister’s At The Well, Inc., the first USPS Kwanzaa Stamp in 1997, and the new 2016 Kwanzaa Forever Stamp.

I am truly BLESSED!
