Monday 14th, 09:00 – 15:30
Insight Day for SchoolsFree to schools to book for groups of student thinking about starting a career in manufacturing and engineering or the STEM related subjects and for teachers to find out more about the options and initiatives on offer for young people in STEM related industries.
Will include a tour of the facility and see the facilities on offer, there will also be a chance to meet with current apprentices and trainers who will answer any questions.
Tuesday 15th, 08:00 – 16:00
Back to the Floor day for teachersA day for teachers with STEM subjects, engineering, design and technology and careers advisors to experience life as an apprentice. The day will include being taught real-life examples of the practical work carried out by the apprentices, by the apprentices themselves.
The day will be an insight for those involved in the teaching of STEM-related subjects into what an apprenticeship is, entry requirements and possible career pathways from an apprenticeship.
Wednesday 16th, 09:30–11:30 & 13:30–15:30
Open DayIf you are considering an apprenticeship in Engineering or Business Services and want to start in 2016 please come along to our open day.
Thursday 17th, 09:00 – 15:30
HE focused – Insight Day for SchoolsSecond Insight Day for schools, following the same format as the one held on Monday but specifically focussed for those students who are interested in the HE/FD pathways the centre offers.
Friday 18th, 08:00 – 09:15
Employers’ breakfastA chance for businesses to come to the centre, meet staff and current apprentices to network and find out about the opportunities available for employing an apprentice and what benefits this will bring to business.
