Nashville is a great and growing city, and as it has grown, so too have the services of the Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority. With 45 bus routes, we have a transit system that is connected to all major corridors, and demand for services has never been higher. A new cross-town University Connector service that connects six major universities: Tennessee State University, Meharry Medical College, Fisk University, Vanderbilt University, Belmont University and Lipscomb University and Metro General Hospital has been added. Buses on this route travel via the new 28th/31st Avenue Connector Bridge every 30 to 60 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends. People riding this service can access 10 other MTA bus routes at various transfer points to make connections. A few other interesting features along the route include the Metro Arts Commission’s public art on the bridge and the six unique transit shelters that were designed by two very talented artists. I also hope you take advantage of MTA’s free downtown circulator called the Music City Circuit. It is a convenient and efficient way to get around downtown Nashville and the Gulch. Three different routes (Blue, Green and Purple Circuits) offer service every 15 minutes from Riverfront Train Station and many points of interest near the blue/green and white Music City Circuit signs. In addition, plans are underway to create a full-service Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) which will run along the busy 7.5-mile corridor that stretches from Five Points in East Nashville to White Bridge Road in West Nashville. MTA is seeking federal money to fund a significant portion of the East-West Connector. This project is critical if Nashville wants to avoid the dramatic increases in traffic congestion that will arise as our population continues to grow. Finally, one of the very best jewels of our transit system is Music City Central, the downtown transit station. Music City Central opened in October 2008 and creates a unique central hub for bus activity within the downtown business district with its cosmopolitan and comfortable atmosphere, ticket and information center, customer waiting rooms, retail businesses and outdoor art on the plaza. I hope you will continue to be one of the thousands who rely on our transit services to get you to your destinations. Karl F. Dean Mayor Metropolitan Government of Nashville @Nashville_MTA This frequency chart is not definitive and should only be used as a guide. Please consult individual route schedules for further information. UPPER LEVEL LOWER LEVEL This state-of-the-art facility is located at 400 Charlotte Avenue between 4th and 5th Avenues North in the Central Business District (CBD). It serves as the central hub for MTA buses. There are climate-controlled waiting rooms, an MTA staffed information and ticket sales center, customer restrooms and small retail businesses, including Dunkin’ Donuts and the Music City Market. Up to 20,000 customers use the facility each weekday. 1 100 Oaks .................................................. 15 2 Belmont .................................................... 17 3 West End/White Bridge ....................... 5 4 Shelby ........................................................ 14 5 West End/Bellevue .................................. 5 6 Lebanon Road......................................... 10 7 Hillsboro................................................... 19 8 8th Avenue South..................................... 9 9 MetroCenter .......................................... 11 10 Charlotte.................................................. 21 12 Nolensville Road.................................... 24 14 Whites Creek ............................................ 2 15 Murfreesboro Road .............................. 22 17 12th Avenue South................................ 15 18 Airport/Elm Hill Pike ........................... 18 19 Herman........................................................ 4 20 Scott........................................................... 16 22 Bordeaux .................................................... 7 23 Dickerson Road .................................... 12 24X Bellevue Express ....................................... 9 25 Midtown ...................................... 20 & 23 26 Gallatin Road.............................................. 3 27 Old Hickory ............................................... 6 28 Meridian.................................................... 13 29 Jefferson....................................................... 8 30 McFerrin ................................................... 13 33X Hickory Hollow Mall/ Old Hickory Express............................ 18 34 Opry Mills ................................................ 10 35X Rivergate Express.................................. 16 36X Madison Express ....................................... 6 37X Tusculum/McMurray Express ........... 23 38X Antioch Express..................................... 17 39X Cane Ridge Express .............................. 20 41 Golden Valley.......................................... 23 42 St. Cecilia/Cumberland .......................... 6 43 Hickory Hills ........................................... 12 44 MTA Shuttle ............................................ 20 56 Gallatin Road BRT .................................... 1 84X Murfreesboro Express......................... 23 86X Smyrna/La Vergne Express ................ 23 87X Gallatin Express ..................................... 18 89X Springfield/Joelton Express................... 8 91X Franklin/Brentwood Express ............ 11 92X Hendersonville Express....................... 18 94X Clarksville Express ................................ 13 95X Spring Hill Express ................................... 2 96X Nashville/Murfreesboro Relax & Ride............................................ 23 AccessRide.................................................. 3 Route Bay Route Bay MUSIC CITY CENTRAL

Welcome aboard!

It is a convenient and effi cient way to get around downtown Nashville and the Gulch.

MTA is seeking federal money to fund a signifi cant portion of the East-West Connector. This project is critical if Nashville wants to avoid the dramatic increases in traffi c congestion that will arise as our population continues to grow.
