Music lovers know how rare it is for an artist to produce

hit after hit, year after year. In a whats hot right now

world, its unusual to find stars with staying power.

When it happens, we call them legends.

For so many hoping to gain superstar status, the journey

begins in Nashville. Over the years, the city has become as

famous as the music produced here. Singers and songwriters

from all genres are drawn to the creative culture that is a

hallmark of Music City. But its more than just creativity

Nashville has flourished even in the glare of the spotlight.

Nashville has been named one of the top destinations in

the world to visit by Cond Nast Traveler, The New York Times,

    Travel + LeisureandFodors.

The burgeoning food scene, luxury shopping venues,

amenity-filled hotels, full slate of attractions, renowned

hospitality and, of course, world-famous live entertainment

have put Nashville at the top of a lot of lists.Business Insider

noted that while there has been a lot of recent attention on

Nashville, its a city that has been on travelers radar for years.

The qualities that make Nashville so appealing to

performers and visitors alike make it equally attractive to

businesses and meeting planners. After all, creativity is just

another word for innovation, and what industry wouldnt

like a little more of that?

SETTING THE TONEFor meeting professionals, it all starts with the facilities.

Nashville clearly has you covered with two great options in

one dynamic destination. The new Music City Centerfeatures

1.2 million square feet of public space in an urban setting. Just

a few miles away, the spectacular Gaylord Opryland Resort

& Convention Centeroffers nearly 3,000 rooms and more

than 863,000 square feet of flexible meeting space in a lush

    resort setting.

Opened in 2013, the Music City Center seamlessly blends

the latest technology with unique architectural features that

capture the spirit of Nashville in an iconic new landmark in theheart of downtown. With a commitment to sustainable design,

the modern structure, with its soaring windows and stunning

skyline views, is capped by a 4-acre green roof that mimics the

beautiful rolling hills of Middle Tennessee.

Inside, there is a 350,000-square-foot exhibit hall,

90,000 square feet of meeting and breakout space, and a

57,500-square-foot grand ballroom suitable for many of

the countrys largest conventions. Yet, the flexible setup

also allows smaller groups to enjoy the facilitys array

    of amenities.

The 16-acre downtown site puts delegates in walking

distance of many of the citys most famous live music spots,

Left:Performances by stars such as Luke Bryan are one of the reasons Nashville is a must-see destination. Above:The new Omni Nashville Hotel andthe adjacent Music City Center combine for a top-notch convention location downtown. The Gaylord OprylandResort & Convention Center providesanother terrific option for meetings, with everything you might need all under one roof.

fashionable restaurants and popular attractions. Rooftop

venues and private space in nightclubs offer a great way to

host events with true Music City style.

The new Omni Nashville Hotel, Country Music Hall

of Fame and Museum, and Hatch Show Printare actuallypart of the MCC campus, located between Fourth and Eighth

avenues. The 800-room Omni is fully integrated with the

Country Music Hall of Fame on three floors, opening up

terrific possibilities for a variety of functions.

Just a few miles from the Nashville International

Airport, the award-winning Gaylord Opryland Resort &

Convention Centerhas been a staple for planners looking

for an ideal site to host an unforgettable meeting. The lovely

columned faade that greets guests as they enter the property

sets the tone for the resorts renowned Southern hospitality.

Gaylord Opryland gives guests and planners what they

need and want the best of both worlds. While the lovelymurals paying tribute to Nashvilles history, beautifully

appointed rooms and lush gardens call up the elegance of a

bygone era, the convention facilities feature the flexibility

and technology to meet planners needs.

Guests can enjoy a 20,000-square-foot spa, 9 acres of

gardens and waterfalls, and more than a dozen on-site dining

options. Meeting professionals are able to utilize 2,881 rooms

under one roof, the 263,000-square-foot Ryman Exhibit Hall,

six ballrooms and 152 meeting rooms.

Excellent retail and entertainment venues also abound.

In addition to the options located within the hotel, the campus

features the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, GeneralJackson Showboatand shopping mecca Opry Mills, with

more than 200 stores, a plethora of dining options and

    an IMAX theater.

    HITTING THE HIGH NOTES

Theres even more to explore throughout the city. Artgalleries, family-themed attractions, historic homes and

professional sports all expand the playlist. Designer stores

and interesting boutiques also add flair to any afternoon.

As much fun as Nashville is by day, Music City really

heats up at night. The restaurant scene is quickly becoming

as famous as the citys renowned live entertainment.

Bon Appetit, Travel + LeisureandFood & Winehave

all recently paid homage to the citys eclectic mix of haute

Southern cuisine. Restaurants including City House, Etch

Restaurant, The Catbird Seat, Husk, The Farm House

and Rolf and Daughtershave won national accolades for

inventive menus and delicious dining. And then theres the music. Country, rock, pop, jazz, blues,

alternative its all here and its all live. Whether youre sitting

in the intimate Bluebird Cafelistening to incredibly talented

songwriters or joining one of the thousands rocking to Taylor

Swift at Bridgestone Arena, there is simply no other city in

the world that plays the way Music City does.

With so much to see and do, its impossible to explore

all the options in one stay. Thats why so many visitors and

meeting professionals put Nashville into their regular rotation.

Whether revisiting the citys classic hits or checking out the

newest additions to its repertoire, youll want to come again

and again to enjoy all of the sights and sounds of Nashville. Its the stuff legends are made of.

Delegates can enjoy a variety of restaurants, art galleries and honky tonks all within walking distance of the Music City Center and area hotels.
