Why NASA Should Hire Me

I Grew Up with NASA
• My dad and mom moved from MA to
TX in 1969 so my dad could work for
Hamilton Standard on the JSC
Campus
• I was born in 1971. You do the math.
My Name is On the Moon
• Actually, my dad’s name is on the
moon, but his name is my MAIDEN
name. That should count.
I Can Do Almost Anything
• I have been a secretary, a business
manager, a programmer, a web designer,
a counselor, an author, a reporter and a
photographer in my 44 years.
• I can learn how to do almost anything
with little supervision.
I LOVE the Space Program
• Also sprach Zarathustra makes me cry.
• I have attended no less than four
NASA Socials since December 2014
including Orion EFT-1.
• I go to Rocket Park in my spare time
just to marvel.
I Have Skills
• I can write in AP format.
• I can write an excellent press
release.
• I can spell and use correct grammar.
• I would never say, “I’ze got skillz.”
I Know People
• I have had the pleasure of meeting and
talking at length with many NASA and
Partner employees, Astronauts and
Cosmonauts in Houston and Florida.
• I had my picture taken next to Houston
Mayor Annise Parker (strike that if you
don’t like her).
I Can Influence People
• In fact, you want to hire me right
now, don’t you?
• I am a fan of “Verbal Judo.” It is very
effective.
I Can Behave in Public
• Self-explanatory
