Healthy Uncertainty:
Examining the Role of the Teacher through the Language of Clay
Have you ever wondered whether you should be stepping in or stepping back when researching a new material with children? What does it mean to research alongside the children?
Two early childhood programs, Learning Brooke Early Childhood Education Center and the University of Vermont Campus Children’s School, have been asking themselves these questions over an extended period of time in their investigations of clay with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Please join us for a day of discussion, exchange
and guided clay exploration as we consider the role of the adult in introducing and supporting clay as one of the hundred languages.
