Naqvis in South Asia Sadaat of Jais & Nasirabad One of the earliest settlements of Naqvi's is reported from Jais & Nasirabad (near Raibareli ) in North India . Naqvi Sadats migrated from SUBZWAR (IRAN) & arrived in Jais around 410 Hijri (around 1025 A.D.) and settled there. Some members of the family moved to Nasirabad, which is 4 miles away from jais, some years later. Jais & Nasirabad are the earliest known Naqvi Sadats of India. It is the place from where famous line of religious scholars called 'Khandane Ijtihad' came. Some famous and known religious scholars from this lineage include Gufraan Ma'ab Ayatullah Syed Dildar Ali Nasirabadi, Syedul Ulema Ayatullah Syed Ali Naqi Naqvi, Jannat Ma'ab Ayatullah Syed Mohammad Naqvi, Ayatullah Aqa Hasan Sb, Ayatullah Syed Kalbe Hussain Naqvi, H I Syed Kalbe Abid Naqvi, H I Syed Kalbe Jawwad Naqvi, H I Syed Hasan Zafar Naqvi, Allama Syed Razi Jafar, Allama Nasir Ijtehadi, Dr Kalbe Sadiq, H I Syed Ali Mohammad Naqvi . The Sadaat Amroha Apart from Jais & Nasirabad, Amroha also has one of the oldest Naqvi Sadat settlements in India. Naqvi's in Amroha have been residents since 1190's A.D. Amroha and people from Amroha,India are mostly Naqvis due to the reason that they are decedents Hazrat Sharfuddin Shah Wilayat (A true decedent of Imam Ali Al-Naqi),who was highly respected religious figure in India during the early ages of Islam in the Indian subcontinent.Majority of Amrohvie Muslims are Naqvi,Shia and Sunni both.The Amrohvies are highly respected in India as well as in Pakistan. There are Naqvis living in Indore ,Bhopal who are also descedents of Hazrat Sharfuddin Shah Wilayat . A

A pair of brothers had settled in a village called Sarangpur in Madhya Pradesh from whom the M.P Naqvis have descended.

NAQVI SADAAT of ALLAHABAD INDIA Originally hailing from the beautiful land of SUBZWAR in IRAN one of the early migrators arrived and settled at the mystical place of ALLAHABAD and made it their home. Amongst the earliest settlors was a noble known as SYED HAQQANI and the area inhabited by him and where his tomb lies is known as SYED SARAWAN situate amidst the GRAND TRUNK ROAD and the SYED SARAWAN RAILWAY STATION on DELHI-HOWRAH RAILWAY LINE in the DISTRICT of ALLAHABAD. His descendents still live in ALLAHABAD. Amongst his lineage was eminent lawyer Late SYED ALI HASAN NAQVI Advocate.

In SindhThe earliest Naqvis migrated into Sindh in present day Pakistan. Many Naqvi's reside in the Sindh city of Karachi. The city of Bhakkhar next to Rohri was their settled area. The first Naqvi who migrated to Sindh was Syed Mahmood Makki from Mashhad, Iran moving through Uzbekistan bukhara before moving to sindh. His son Syed Sadar Ul Din also became a famous saint and is buried in Sakkhar, Sindh.

In PunjabThe Mahmood Maki clan spread throughout Pakistan and India with the passage of time. After few generations in Sindh, Multan, and Lahore, Pakistan. They can also be found in the Province of Punjab, India. There are a few rural areas in Punjab Pakistan where the chiefs of the linage exist such as Mona Syedan located in Punjab Tehsil Malakwal Where the Head of the village Syed Ali Shah Naqvi is buried he had 3 sons one who are buried in Lahore one moved to amorvh in India(most naqvi syeds descend from him in India) and one in chakwal.Syed Jalaluddin Bukhari settled in Uch Sharif and his Naqvi descendants are found everywhere in Punjab and beyond. The Syeds of Kepra'Wala in Gujrat are his descendants.

In North West Frontier ProvinceA number of Naqvi Sayyids, also called Bukhari or Naqvi-ul-Bukhari, migrated from Bukhara, a century or two ago, to Peshawar, Kohat, and other cities and villages of North-West Frontier Province. These families speak Persian, and Pushto.
