Profile
CommunityNaperville is a suburban community of over 144,000 residents. It is located thirty miles west of Chicago on I-88, the high-tech corridor of the western suburbs. The majority of residents are engaged in business, professional, managerial, and technical occupations.
SchoolNaperville Central High School is a public, four-year comprehensive high school with 245 certified staff members, a majority of whom have a Master’s degree or beyond. The school day consists of eight 50-minute periods. All classes meet 5 days per week during two 18-week semesters. Naperville Central’s enrollment for the 2015-16 school year is 2,917 including 681 freshmen, 754 sophomores, 713 juniors, 729 seniors and 40 transition students.
Naperville Central High School is accredited by the Illinois State Board of Education and is a member of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling, the National Association for College Admission Counseling, and the National College Board. Naperville Central has been named one of America’s Top High Schools by U.S. News & World Report magazine.
