NEUTRALIZING AND UTILIZING GALVANIC SLUDGE (NICKEL AND CHROMIUM PLATING WASTE MATERIALS)

It has been established that: Polytitanates:– Neutralize sulfurous solution of galvanic sludge;– Adsorb ions of heavy metals from solution and form compositions,

which are not soluble in water.

Residual solution is neutral and contains ions of heavy metals at concentrations permitted by standards (K2SO4 water solution, [Ni]= 0,17 mg/l, [Cr]=0,07 mg/l).

Deposit is used for obtaining ceramics with high working characteristics (strength of 110 MPa).

The ELF spectroellipsometer set includes:PC interface block and software,Add-on to improve spatial resolution,Test desk for moving a sample in three directions,Achromatic compensator to improve accuracy of measurements for thin layers less than 10 nm thick

Thickness of layers in thin-film structures are evaluated based on experimentally measured ellipsometric angles spectra by inverse problem solving.

Examples of ellipsometric research into multilayer thin-film structures

The ELF spectroellipsometer supports spatial mapping of any measurable characteristic

Availability of reference photoreceiver allows conducting photometric measurements
