The course, entitled Endo- dontics for the practicing dentist, was called a tremendous success by Dr. William Davis, director of graduate dental education. Los Angeles: Dr. Noah Chivian of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center presented a paper on "Replanting teeth" to a California Dental Asso- ciation Conference in Los Angeles in early May of this year. Milwaukee: The Dental Care Pro- grams Committee recognizes Dr. Art McFeaters for his leadership in establishing a working dental care programs committee. Dr. Donald Schneider will succeed Dr. McFeaters as chairman of this committee. Any correspondence or comments relating to Dental Care Programs should be addressed to Dr. Donald W. Wakai, Hono- lulu, has been nominated for the office of second vice-president of the American Dental Association. Dr. Wakai is a private practitioner, lecturer, educator, editor, and Asso- ciation officer who has served both the AAE and the ADA. The election will be held at the ADA 120th annual session at Dallas, Oct 21-25. Dr. Wakai is currently a member of the Endowment and Memorial Foundation and the International Relations Committee. He is chief, St. Francis Hospital department of dentistry, and asso- ciate professor, School of Clinical Dr. Warren Wakai: Candidatefor ADA o~ce Medicine, University of Hawaii, Honolulu. He is founder and editor of the Hawaii Dental Association journal, has authored a chapter for Pathways of the Pulp, and received an award of excellence from the Hawaii Society of Dentistry for Children. INTERNATIONAL NEWS Dr. David Prensky, Mexico, chair- man of the International Relations Committee, reports that the new Spanish-Latin American Endodontic Association known as Asociacion Ibero Latino Americana De Endo- donica is considering organizing a charter flight to transport colleagues from remote areas to the AAE annual meeting in 1980. Anyone considering attending the meeting in Los Angeles from a South American country should notify the office of AILAE, Junin 959, Capital Federal, Republica Argentina Copigo 1113 as soon as possible.
