main spokesperson, in interacting and liaising with national media outlets. I was also involved in maintaining the department’s blog and other new media platforms where I developed relevant content and drafted blog posts. My internship at the Justice Department has given me an opportunity to develop a strong understanding of what kind of work is involved in a fast-paced government communications office and what kind of role the media plays in the public policy world. I have learned on an extensive level how our national legal system is operated and my work has given me further inspiration and motivation to pursue law and public service.

Diana Ming ’14 interned at the United States Department of Justice in Washington D.C. during the Summer of 2013.
