LO: Learn what a ‘right’ is.Some of these statements are rights. Some are not. Which do you think are rights? Tick the ones that are rights.

1. Everyone has the right to life.

2. Everyone has the right to own a television.

4. Everyone has the right to own a games console.

5. Everyone has the right to eat fast food at least once a month.

6. Everyone has the right to own a car.

A - A right is something you are allowed to do or have. No one is allowed to stop you having or doing these things.  

B- A right is something that you would like to have or wish for, such as a games console.

C – A right is the opposite to a left
