So join me in the computer lab to learn Spanish using an exciting interactive computer program where you speak to Spanish teachers on-line and learn how to read write and speak in another language.

6. Dance/Healthy Bodies – Ms. Quarantillo Turn, Leap and Groove – and prepare yourself for Boston Arts Academy. Learn proper jazz and modern dance technique, create choreography and dance to pop, R&B, old school and more. This class is for serious students who want to learn how to leap, turn, get flexible and dance with STYLE and POWER. Lets DANCE!

7. Fashion Design – (Bird Street), Ms. Matthews Working with fabrics students will create patterns, construct and sew clothes, apply finishing handwork and then model the items at a seasonal fashion show.

Through hands-on activities you will explore what kind of job could “fit” you. You will have guest speakers, fieldtrips, and have the chance to job shadow an adult. 9. Soccer – Mr. Caraballo

Want to learn how to juggle a soccer ball like Ronaldinho? Or shoot like Lionel Messi? Then sign up to try out for the Edwards soccer team where you will learn the true meaning of what it means to play for a TEAM. You will play against other BPS schools. (Has a writing component.) This class will have try-outs and if you are selected, will run from Academic League through electives.

Opportunities to visit famous sports sites such as FENWAY and the GARDEN are available to those in this class. First choice goes to those students who have not yet taken this class.

Step Up! – Mr. Ollivierre/Mr. Cowan Stepping at the Edwards is a longstanding and well-respected tradition that weaves together performance art (dancing, singing and gymnastics) and leadership development (confidence, scholarship, teamwork, and integrity). Steppers are school representatives, and engage in performances and service projects regularly.

12. Tennis Fundamentals (Beginners ONLY!) – Mr. Ford 140 MPH serves and jaw-dropping athleticism. Modern tennis is one of the most challenging but rewarding sports to learn and play.
