The brief background on the rescarch activítiCs carricd out by the institution was

discussed.

Committee appreciated the efforts carricd out by faculty in publishing papers in various

reputed journals. Members revicwed the increase in citations and h-index of the

institution in the Google Scholar and the Scopus

Members advised to improve the quality of publication and they asked to analyze the gap

to get the NIRF ranking.

Members advised to improve the number ol rescarch publication through students project work (minor and major project). (Annexure-11.3.1)

1.4 Result of the End Semester Examinations for the academic year 2018-2019 (Even

Semester)

11.5 To Report about Placement activities for the 2020 Passing out Batch

Principal. presented the report of placement statistics of 2020 passing out students. I ne

committee appreciated the placement activities and the improvement in the average

salary of the students. (Annexure-11.5.1)

11.6 Institute seholarships, medals, prizes and certificates on the recommendations of

the Academie Council

Based the academic council recommendation, members approved the policies for issuing

institute scholarships, medals, prizes and certificates.

11.7 Budget Proposal for the Academic Year 2019-2020

Members reviewed the budget proposal and utilization for the academic year 2018-2019

and the members appreciated the management for sanctioning the requested amount for

improve the infrastructure of the institution to improve the overall performance of

students and faculty.

Members approved the annual budget for the academic year 2019-2020.

11.8 Examination Reforms

The Examination reforms introduced in the academic year 2019-2020 are,

New examination guidelines, revaluation procedure, grade classifications, Condonation fees and Minor project subject definition

11.9 Any other items with the approval of the Chairman

The Chairman of Governing Council highlighted the following points:

Setting up of specific goals and following time bound implementation so as too

achieve excellence on par with reputed institutions.
