In June, 1968, Rev. Biggerstaff began hisservice as pastor of High Shoal Baptist Church.During his ministry much was accomplishedspiritually and ~aterially. Under his leadership,the church formed a strong outreach and visitationprogram. Much growth came as a result of thisconcern for the unchurched. In a spirit of unity,the Sanctuary was remodeled and a new porch wasbuilt on the front of the church.
At the Memorial Day Service in May, 1981,Rev. Biggerstaff made the following statementconcerning his coming to High Shoal BaptistChurch: "God truly got us together. He wasdefinitely in the leadership role."
After serving 4 1/2 years at High ShoalBaptist Church, Rev. Biggerstaff accepted the callas pastor of the Oakdale Baptist Church in RockHill, SC. His service there covered a period of 71/2 years. During this time he also ministered aspart-time chaplain to the in-mates at CatawbaPre-release Center in Rock Hill.
Rev. and Mrs. Biggerstaff now make their homeat Route 1, Forest City.
LARRY G. NUNN1974-1976
Larry G. Nunn was born on July 13, 1948, inRock Hill, SC. He is the son of Henry Grady andMary Frances McGuirt Nunn. Rev. Nunn is agraduate of Rock Hill High School and Gardner-WebbCollege, in Boiling Springs. Upon graduation fromGardner-Webb, he received a B. A. degree inBiblical Languages and Literature. In August,1969, Rev. Nunn was baptized into the fellowshipof Eastview Baptist Church in Rock Hill by theRev. Arthur Collum. Three years later, in 1972,Eastview also licensed and then ordained him tothe Gospel ministry.
Rev. Nunn married Voneva Allen of Rock Hill.Two sons, Kevin and Jason, were born into theirhome.
After resigning from the Gilkey BaptistChurch outside of Rutherfordton, Rev. Nunn

PAUL T. BROCK1976-1979
Paul T. Brock was born in Laurens, SC, to theRev. and Mrs. J. A. Brock, well-known to many as"Daddy" Brock. Rev. Brock graduated from Tri-HighSchool in Caroleen, in 1936.
On January 14, 1937, he married GladysScoggin of Spindale. Their home was blessed withthree children - James A., William Talmadge, andPaula Kay.Rev. Brock was ordained into the ministry atSpencer Baptist Church in Spindale, in 1939.· Heis a graduate of Gardner-Webb College and FurmanUniversity. In 1947, he received his Bachelor ofDivinity degree from 'southern Baptist TheologicalSeminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Rev. Brock began his ministry at High ShoalBaptist Church in December, 1976. Under hisleadership, the church built a much-neededfellowship building and completed payment on theparsonage. A remodeling program was alsoconducted during this time.
