FEBRUARY 2006

NACTAS 2006 Benchmark Survey NORTH AMERICAN CONSUMER TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION STUDY

Forrester fielded this survey between January and February 2006. We surveyed more than 66,000 households in the US and Canada.

The purpose of this study was to analyze broad patterns in technology behavior and attitudes among consumers in the US and Canada. While the survey instrument focuses mostly on the online behaviors of connected consumers, it also includes questions about general technology attitudes and about ownership, now or in the future, of various technology products.

The topic areas in this survey include (but are not limited to):

o Automotive

o Devices & Access

o Finance

o Government

o Healthcare

o Media & Marketing

o Retail

o Travel

To help you perform custom analyses and profiling, you may segment consumers by their responses to any of the demographic questions. In addition, you have access to a set of variables that capture the Technographics segments that Forrester has used since 1997 to predict consumer adoption of technology and their ongoing use.

Please contact the Client Resource Center (CRC) at Forrester with any questions regarding use of Forrester’s NACTAS 2006 Benchmark Study or custom data projects. The CRC can be reached at +1 866/367-7378 (within the US) and +1 617/613-5730 (outside the US).
