NAACLS Directory of Award Lengths and Outstanding Citations As of the last NAACLS Board Meeting, April 25th, 2019

To Whom It May Concern, Within this document, you will find detailed information about NAACLS Accredited and Approved programs. Specifically, the length of their current award, their next material review date, and outstanding citations the program may have (if any). NAACLS has organized the document into three sections; the first section includes a list of all initially accredited and approved programs from the last board meeting. For an explanation of the difference between Accredited and Approved programs, please see our “About” section of our website. In the first section, we’ve also included a list of all programs that went through involuntary withdrawal during the last board meeting (when applicable), and programs currently in probationary status (when appropriate). In the second section, you will find a complete list of programs which have progress reports due to non‐compliance with standards. You will be able to see what citations they were non‐compliant with, as well as the rationale of the non‐compliance. In the third section, we’ve added a complete directory of all NAACLS Accredited and Approved programs. Here you will be able to locate any program’s award length and next material review. We’ve also offered links to programs home pages as well as their outcomes. Please note NAACLS Staff creates this within a month of the finish of our board meetings. There is a chance those programs have made changes to their website. The program curriculum must include the following scientific content: Clinical Chemistry, Hematology/Hemostasis, Immunology, Immunohematology/transfusion medicine, Microbiology, Urine and body fluid analysis, Laboratory operations.

Rationale: The curriculum submitted lacks instruction in one or two distinct content areas as defined in Standard VIII.A-2-8.

Standard VIII.B: VIII. MLS Curriculum Requirements

B. Learning Experiences Learning experiences (courses, practica, other required activities) must be properly sequenced and include necessary content and activities to achieve entry level competencies in each major discipline as listed in

assays, problem-solving, troubleshooting techniques, interpretation and evaluation of clinical procedures and results, statistical approaches to data evaluation, principles and practices of quality assurance/quality improvement, and continuous assessment of laboratory services for all major areas practiced in the contemporary clinical laboratory. The program curriculum must include the following scientific content: Clinical Chemistry, Hematology/Hemostasis, Immunology, Immunohematology/transfusion medicine, Microbiology, Urine and body fluid analysis, Laboratory operations.

Rationale: The curriculum submitted lacks instruction in one or two distinct content areas as defined in Standard VIII.A-2-8.

Standard VIII.B: VIII. MLS Curriculum Requirements

B. Learning Experiences Learning experiences (courses, practica, other required activities) must be properly sequenced and include necessary content and activities to achieve entry level competencies in each major discipline as listed in Standard VIII.A.2.
