This weekend sees four of our Adult Hurling teams in Championship semi-finals. Over
Saturday & Sunday both Senior teams and two of our Junior teams take to the field in their
respective semis. Best of luck to all teams.
Unfortunately due to current Public Health guidelines, a max of 40 persons per team are
allowed access to games for the moment. This figure includes all players, management,
coaches, ancillary backroom personnel and officials. If you haven’t already been advised
that your name is on the list, then your name is not on the list, and you will not be admitted.
Once again we would ask for the continuing cooperation of all members in this regard.
Both Senior games will be broadcast live on DubsTV, details here

Become An All-Weather Fan
During summer 2020, we undertook a major renovation of Na Fianna’s smaller All-Weather
pitch at Mobhi Road. Check out this video of the serious work done (taken by our own
Maurice Grehan).
The pitch is now beginning to be used by teams young and old and we're delighted with the
response to it. However, Covid has had a major impact on our fundraising drive and there’s
still approx €15,000 to be raised for the pitch’s completion costs.
We’re looking for individuals and families to consider becoming ALL-WEATHER FANS. If
just 150 more people donate €100 each, we’ll have this amazing facility paid off for everyone
to benefit from.
All Weather Fans will be prominently thanked at an official opening event (government
guidelines permitting) and their names displayed in the Clubhouse for the next year.
If you can, become an ALL WEATHER FAN today at
https://clgnafianna.clubifyapp.com/products.
Your club needs you!

Minor B Hurlers Bow Out In Style
Our Minor B Hurlers lost out in Championship quarterfinal last Sunday morning away against
St Vincent's. The lads played extremely well, put up a big score but couldn't keep the goals
out and ended up losing 7-9 to 2-21. Adam Brady and Fionn McLoughlin were strong in
defence, Ben Gaughran had a stormer in mid field while Jack Burke, Ciaran Stacey, Cian
and Ciaran Whelan, Barry Deane and Matthew Lynch kept the score board ticking over
upfront.
Disappointing result for the lads but they played brilliantly, showed great heart and
determination, and were a credit to themselves, their families and Na Fianna. Onwards &
upwards lads!

A chance for U12s to show off GAA skills
Next Monday, September 7th, RTE 2 are launching a new cartoon show called Ballybraddan
based around a juvenile hurling team.
RTE want to feature some home-made skills from children as a sort of introduction to the
show each day. They're asking for Primary School age children to send their best, most fun
GAA tricks' n flicks to them... and they might just appear on RTE in the coming weeks!
Read all about it here, including how to upload your GAA skills
video. https://www.rte.ie/learn/2020/0826/1161383-ballybraddan-skills-challenge/
Good luck everyone, we'll be watching out for you on TV...

……and finally
Huge thanks to one of our Féile Boys group who spotted a missing phone around the Club
last Wednesday night and handed it up to his mentors. Phone has since been reunited with
its grateful owner.
We’re also on the look out for another phone lost around the Club during the week by one of
the Aftercare staff. If found it can be handed into the Aftercare or given to any Club officer.
Fógra Tabachtach
The objective of Na Fianna Nuacht is to communicate as much club activity as possible however it is important to note that all items for inclusion in either Club Notes or Na Fianna Nuacht are reported to [email protected] or texted to 087 9250697 by Sunday evening. With a growing membership of almost 4,000 and 185 teams now competing it is difficult to ensure all club activity is reported upon – Do not assume that your team’s activity is already known to Na Fianna Nuacht or that someone else has reported it. When errors or omissions occur it is the policy of Na Fianna Nuacht to correct these in subsequent issues when they are reported to [email protected]
