Workforce Investment Act of 1998
The mission of the State of Georgia’s Workforce Investment Act (WIA) is to bring business, labor, education, and the public sector together to develop strategies and support efforts to best meet the needs of the State’s workforce and employers; thereby, enhancing Georgia’s competitiveness in the global economy.

How To Apply for WIA
Go to your local Georgia Department of Labor and ask to speak to a WIA Career Advisor. Your Career Advisor will guide you through the application process to determine your eligibility for the program. You must be registered with the Georgia Department of Labor to receive Workforce Investment Act funding.
