SPLASH PAD - AL BERRYMAN PARK Take a break and cool off. Splash pad open seasonally. DEPOT DISTRICT – DEPOT PARK Play ping pong, corn hole or just relax at this trailhead park on the north side of Kokomo’s historic train depot. You can check out game paddles and accessories at the nearby restaurants. Located alongside some of Kokomo’s most historically significant historical sites, the Industrial Heritage Trail runs north and south in Kokomo. This 5.77 mile trail connects walkers, runners, and bicyclists to Kokomo Opalescent Glass, downtown Kokomo, and the Nickel Plate Trail. S N W E 3 ARTIST ALLEY 210 N. Main St. (400 feet east of trail) Take in the painted and sculpted art pieces of our current annual exhibit. PHOTO OP! Get a selfie while sitting in an art replica of a 1894 Elwood Haynes historic automobile. VISITOR CENTER/MAIN LIBRARY 220 N. Union St. (.3 miles east of trail) Find local and state travel resources, including a map of downtown and nearby attractions. BIKE SHARE BUILDING Borrow a bike and hit the trails! Coming soon! KOKOMO OPALESCENT GLASS 1310 S. Market St. (500 feet west of trail) Tour America’s oldest art glass company. Tours offered Monday-Friday at 10 a.m. Gift shop offers unique hand-blown glass creations, all locally made. DEFENBAUGH TRAILHEAD DOWNTOWN DISTRICT Live music, public art, festivals, local dining and diverse shopping, you’ll find it all in the Kokomo Downtown District. The city center is set against a backdrop of historic buildings and beautiful public spaces. As you enjoy the trail, take a break at a number of downtown eateries and unique shops.
