Mrs Sue Hill will be Interim Chair of Governors until an election in December. Congratulations to Tony Davenport and Cassandra Williams who have been elected to be Parent Governors. Please support your Governors. Their role is nothing like it was even five years ago. They are expected to carry out monitoring and evaluation of the school as well as holding the Senior Leaders to account. Did you vote ?? We only had 76 votes out of a possible 1164—which is approximately 6% of parents. We are unsure why as we made it as easy as possible to vote using the Online Voting system Parental Involvement On the one hand it can be seen as a positive that we dont have a great deal of parental engagement with things like voting and Parent Forum. Perhaps it is a sign that you are generally happy with how we do things. However on the other hand it would be great to have MORE engagement with school such as Friends of Mytham, Family Learning events and special projects such as the Mindful Parenting course we put on for parents last year. We only had about seven parents attend that and it was such a great course—the parents who attended got a lot out of it. We are always trying to make events accessible by trying different times of the day and we would like to hear from parents if you have any constructive feedback about events that will help us to meet your needs. However we will keep on trying !! Watch out for Family Rambles, family community projects such as litter picking and more Family Learning activities for Reception parents. Great for meeting several of the five areas of mental health; Connect / be active and give to others. Governor Update

I am sorry to let you know that Mrs Angie Berry has stepped down from her role as Chair of

the Governing Board.

Mrs Sue Hill will be Interim Chair of Governors until an election in December.

Congratulations to Tony Davenport and Cassandra Williams who have been elected to be

Parent Governors.

Please support your Governors. Their role is nothing like it was even five years ago. They are

expected to carry out monitoring and evaluation of the school as well as holding the Senior

Leaders to account.

Did you vote ?? We only had 76 votes out of a possible 1164—which is approximately 6% of

parents.

We are unsure why as we made it as easy as possible to vote using the Online Voting system

Parental Involvement

On the one hand it can be seen as a positive that we don’t have a great deal of parental engagement

with things like voting and Parent Forum. Perhaps it is a sign that you are generally happy with how we

do things. However on the other hand it would be great to have MORE engagement with school such as

Friends of Mytham, Family Learning events and special projects such as the Mindful Parenting course we

put on for parents last year. We only had about seven parents attend that and it was such a great

course—the parents who attended got a lot out of it.

We are always trying to make events accessible by trying different times of the day and we would like

to hear from parents if you have any constructive feedback about events that will help us to meet your

needs.

However we will keep on trying !! Watch out for Family Rambles, family community projects

such as litter picking and more Family Learning activities for Reception parents.

Great for meeting several of the five areas of mental health; Connect / be active and give to others.

We hope we can inspire you to get involved !
