Learning Objective: What do
coffee beans have to do with the
MBTI?
4
The MBTI tool is like the coffee beans. It’s about raising your awareness to information that is and was already there. Once you are aware of it you can’t go back. You
can now talk about it, act on it.
The MBTI
• Once you have increased your knowledge of personality type theory, your own type and the personality types of your colleagues, you have something to talk about;
• You now have information on which to be able to respond differently and more effectively.
• The MBTI is about raising awareness and increasing choice. • We like to think that having more choice about how you
respond to people and the world around you can make you more effective.
The MBTI reports some of your key
