• SAB, Colony characteristics, LPCB

• Direct exam’n: Aseptate, wider hyphae

• Culture (SAB) easy

“Ringworm” – contagious, zoonotic

Circular alopecia, erythema

No systemic disease

M. canis – most common in cats

M. gypseum - rodents, dogs, horses

Dogs – anorexia, resp. signs, diarrhea mild-severe necrotic granulomatous pneumonia
