Admission RequirementsCandidates wishing to study for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MB ChB) shall have met either of the following minimum university entry requirements.
a. For the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) holders, minimum university admission requirement is C+ (plus) and in addition, B (plain) in each of the following cluster subjects;
• Biology• Chemistry• Physics or Mathematics• English or Kiswahili
b. For Kenya advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) holders, a minimum of two principal passes in Biology, Chemistry and subsidiary pass in either Mathematics or Physics.
c. For diploma holders in Medical Sciences, a minimum ‘O’ level Division II pass in KCE or C+ mean grade and a credit C+ in cluster subjects in KCSE, in addition to a three-year diploma with a minimum of a credit pass from a medical training institution recognized by the Board.
d. For holders of any degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university subject to passing Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
e. Other qualifications deemed to be equivalent to those in paragraphs (a)-(d) above from institutions recognized by the different institution’s Senates
• Proficiency in English languageCourse DurationThe duration of the course shall not be less than 6 academic years and not more than twelve years.
• All units in the MB ChB., programme shall be compulsory unless the School Board recommends exemption and Senate approves.
• The academic year in the Medical School shall be divided into 3 terms, with a minimum of 44 weeks. Each term shall be 14 or 15 weeks exclusive of any examinations.

Mode of Payment1. Statutory fees of Ksh. 12,000 payable in the 1st semester/trimester of every Calendar year.2. Commission for University Education (CUE) levy of Ksh. 1,000 payable once on admission. 3. The university fees payment can also be done in easy installments within the semester.
The installments are as follows: 30% upon registration, 30%- second installment, 20%-third installment 20% - 5th installment.
