MY KIND OF ANIMAL My favourite animal is the polar bear. The polar bear’s fur looks white because it reflects the light from the snow. It is transparent. Their thick coat is waterproof and traps air to keep the polar bear warm and dry. Its tail is short and its ears are also short. The male polar bear is about 3.05 meters tall and weighs 295 kg. It’s the largest land animal. The polar bear lives in the Arctic. It lives where there is ice. In the wild the polar bear lives up to age 25. The polar bear is a carnivore. It eats seals but it also eats fish.
The polar bear can swim very well. It can be under water more than one minute. The polar bear is in danger of extinction. There are only between 25,000 and 40,000 polar bears in the world.
