ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Daniel Capocci, PhD is Senior Investment Manager at Architas Multi-Manager, amember of the Global AXA Group. Daniel has been analysing the hedge fundindustry for 15 years firstly as an academic and secondly as a hedge fund investor.

On the academic side, Daniel has published research in globally-recognizedprofessional and academic journals, including the Journal of Empirical Finance, theEuropean Journal of Finance and the International Journal of Financial Economicsand he has presented at numerous academic and professional conferences.

On the investment side, Daniel has spent the bulk of his career analysing individualhedge funds and managing hedge fund portfolios, first investing in offshore fundsand more recently focusing his research on alternative UCITS.

Daniel published his first book on the topic in 2004 and has contributed tonumerous other books related to the subjects. He holds a PhD fromHEC Management School of the University of Liège in Belgium.He is Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) holder.
