Welcome to My Giving Gateway! One of our main goals as your partner in philanthropy is to provide you with the resources you need to make your charitable giving a seamless and easy process. We hope that you will find this to be a useful tool in managing your fund. This guide will describe the different sections that are available through this online community. My Giving Gateway There are now 3 ways to log on to My Giving Gateway.

1) Visit the Hawai‘i Community Foundation’s home page at: www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org and click on the “My Giving Gateway” button.

2) Click the “Lock” icon on the header of every page and it will take you to a page with options to login.

3) Click on “Clients” on the header and there is a login button on the bottom of the page

How to sign in Signing in: Enter the User Name that was provided to you, and your password. Then click on the “Login” button. If this is your first time signing in, please reset your password first (follow steps below). Reset Password or Forgot User Name: If you need to reset your password or have forgotten it, click on “Forgot Your Password?” and enter the email address for your account. You will be emailed a link to reset your password. If you have forgotten your User Name or the email address you use for My Giving Gateway, please email Client Services at [email protected] or call (808) 566-5560.

The welcome page of My Giving Gateway You can navigate through the website by either using the Quick Links, or the links within the boxes. Change password or user name This is where you can make changes to your password or user name. After you make your edits, click the “Update” button.

Fund Statement Your Fund Statement is now available to view online. You can find a link to the Fund Statement on the Welcome Page, under Quick Links, or on the Fund Summary page.

View Fund Statement To view the statement, select the following-

1. Fund 2. Period type (quarterly or year-to-date) 3. Report period.

Then Click “View Report” To print your statement, we recommend you export the statement to PDF, then print the PDF file. To export to PDF, click the diskette icon, then select PDF from the drop down menu. The PDF will open in a new window and you may need to click OK to open or save the PDF. Use the print icon or menu on the PDF to print your statement. If you have any questions regarding the information on your statement, please contact your Client Engagement Manager listed on the bottom of your statement.

View Fund Information View various details of your fund including: “Fund Summary,” “Contributions to Fund,” “Grants Paid,” “Pending Grants” and a “Four Year Grant Summary.” Click on the links to see the corresponding information.

Please note on this page: Fund Summary Contributions may take up to three business days to display. Grants may take 7-10 business days to display as paid.

Fund Summary

Here you will find a summary of your fund activity, including gifts made to your fund, grants that you have recommended and your fund balances. To see more detailed information, click on the links “Gifts”, “Transfers In”, “Grants” or “Pending Grants.” If you have more than one fund with The Foundation, select the fund from the drop-down menu. This may take a few moments to load. If it does not load, refresh your web browser.

Contributions to Fund View contributions made to your fund during different time periods by selecting one of the options such as “current year,” “previous year” or “specify a date range.” The information can be sorted by date, donor or amount by clicking on the links. Grants Paid Choose to view grants that you have made in different time periods including “current year,” “previous year” or “date range”. Information can be sorted by clicking on the links: date, payee, amount or purpose.

Pending Grants Get information on grants that are currently in process and grants scheduled for future dates.

Four Year Grant Payment Summary View a list of grants within a four year time period by selecting a start year. Information can be sorted in a number of ways: by grantee, by years, by four year total, and by a cumulative total. Totals are displayed at the bottom of the page.

Grant Recommendation Make grant recommendations to recipients you’ve previously supported through your fund, or recommend a new recipient.

Use these links to choose previous recipient or to recommend a new recipient.

Use Previous Grantee List/Grant History After clicking on “Use Previous Grantee List,” a history of your previous grants will be displayed. If you would like to select one of these organizations to make a grant to, click on “Create Grant.” This will bring you to the Grant Recommendation Form. Recommend New Recipient You have the option to also recommend an organization that you have not previously granted to. Fill in the required fields (marked by a red asterisk) and click on “Save.” This will then take you back to the Grant Recommendation Form.

How to complete the Grant Recommendation Form To process a grant suggestion, simply complete the following fields of the Grant Recommendation Form:

1) Fill in the organization’s contact information (to the best of your ability).

2) Fill in the amount you wish to grant (minimum grant amount is $250).

3) Enter in your “Charitable Purpose.” This can be an array of things from general operating expenses to supporting a specific project.

4) In “Conditions and Comments,” please let us know if you have any special instructions or wish for the grant to be expedited.

5) Anonymity: You have the option to be an anonymous donor for this grant.

6) Check the box confirming your compliance with the legal statement

7) “Submit” your grant suggestion! You will receive an email confirmation that your grant was submitted successfully. If you have made a grant in error, please contact Client Services at [email protected].

Give Now Online giving by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) is available. If you would like to add a contribution to your fund or another fund at The Foundation, click on “Give Now.” This will bring you to the Giving Search page. You can type in a word or group of words, and the system will pull all the funds that contain a match. Click on the link of the fund name of which you would like to give, and you will be directed to the Donation Form. The minimum gift amount is $25.00. Donation Form Fill in the fields on the Donation Form, and click on “Give Now.” You will receive an email confirmation of your gift. Please note that the designated fund will be assessed a 2.6% fee of the amount donated for the processing of credit card gifts.

My Profile View the information we have on file for you by clicking on “My Profile” in the Quick Links. You may edit your profile at any time by clicking on “click here.”

Profile Update On this page, you can make edits to your profile. Edits may take up to two business days to update on the site. Areas of Interest Please be sure to update your areas of interest so that we know what areas you are interested in supporting or learning more about.

Main Hawai‘i Community Foundation website links Clicking on this link will direct you outside of My Giving Gateway and into The Foundation’s main website. If you should explore our main website while you are in a My Giving Gateway session, you will have to log back in by going to the Home page.
