Short Sharing Story from Chrome 6 weeks in Rural Area
people around me like what I experienced here. My feeling has never changed since the first impression. Honestly, sometime I asked myself in the mid-night whether it’s real and I slapped myself. Everything is real that I got warm heart host-family, helpful teachers and sweetie smiling students. Accept the mosquito always biting me after 7PM, everything is perfect and I would rate the experiences here 5 out of 5.”
About his Vision: “As what I experienced and I saw
since the 1st week, I think education limits students’ talent (mostly in developing area’s curriculums). Students need to keep silent and listen to teacher and repeat. After doing this for long time, their brain and talent will be freeze. I honestly want to change this by creating a new environment where students can expose their talent, express their thought and chose what they want to learn. Of course that we as teacher, we need to prepare lessons plan for students, but sometime, they will get bore because ours is not interesting or important to them. So let’s do some activities more than just lecturing on the board. As a result, students engage and are enjoy studying English. Simply to say, my vision is “Motivate and engage students to find their potential by providing freedom educational space”. 6 weeks is so short to change what I see, but at least I can change my students’ mindset.”
