THE FRONT VIEW The board would be front and

center with my teacher’s desk off to

the corner next to the windows so it

would not block the view of the board

for the students.

In front of the windows would be

cabinets each with a different colored

basket. Each one of the baskets

would have one student's name on it

and would be where the student

could keep their supplies and

belongings.

The decorations in the class would

change with the season.

THE DOOR

The door will be

towards the front of the

classroom on the

students’ left, opposite

of my desk and will be

decorated according to

season or depending on

what the class is reading

at the time.

THE AQUARIUM

Between the door and

the board will be a fish

aquarium up against the

wall. I have always found

aquariums to be calming

and I believe it may help

some students relieve

some anxiety.

IN THE BACK OF THE CLASSROOM

Towards the back of the classroom will be

another cabinet containing books for the

children to read. The book shelf will also

have folders on the side where the children

will keep slips containing information on

what they have read and are reading in the

school year.

Next to the bookshelf will be a circle of bean

bags where the class will gather in a circle

and have their morning connections time.

There would also be a few computers and a

projector in the back of the class opposite of

the book shelf.

The rules will be displayed by the

board in front of class where all the

students will be able to see them.

The rules will consist of:

Be kind to others.

Raise your hand.

Take Turns

Follow directions

THE RULESKeep your hands, feet, and objects

to yourself.

Share with each other

Reading time is quiet time.

Always say please and thank you

Note: Abiding by the rules would

add up to points for a field day, a

movie day or some other fun activity.

The class must all be good or else

they lose points.
